The incredible property can be found nestled on a stunning clifftop lot close to Costa Careyes, a secluded resort along Mexico’s Pacific coastline. According to Dirt, the community has been an "under-the-radar private playground" for the rich and famous for years, with the likes of Robert De Niro and rock star Mick Jagger holidaying here. The Hollywood Reporter even once called it “Hollywood’s best-kept secret”. But when Kylie and Kendall Jenner vacationed here in early 2021, it propelled the resort, and this property in particular, into the limelight.

Known as Sol de Oriente, the sunshine-coloured villa was built by Italian artist, banker and real estate mogul, Gian Franco Brignone in 1999. Brignone snapped up 20,000 acres of land here back in 1968, and over the course of several years, commissioned the construction of various brightly coloured homes along the clifftop. Each of the round houses he built boasts a so-called “elephant skin” stucco façade and a sky-high, palapa-style roof. 

The villa was designed by French architect, Jean-Claude Galibert, and it features a three-tiered thatched roof and a moat-like infinity pool. With a star-shaped layout, the home spans 11,000 square feet and offers three bedrooms and plenty of unusual, open-air living spaces that flow out to its numerous sunbathing patios, where Kylie and Kendall took plenty of envy-inducing selfies during their stay. According to Dirt, the Jenners paid at least £5,400 ($6.5k) a night for the place.

Below the pool, there are also two ocean-view casitas, each with their own bedroom, bathroom and patio, while a two-storey tower close to the edge of the cliff houses yet another bedroom. Of course, there are also extensive staff quarters, where the team that looked after Kylie and Kendall no doubt stayed. Sadly, Brignone passed away in early 2023, and the property is now for sale via Carolwood Estates for a cool £12.5 million ($15m).

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson smoothly transitioned from pro wrestler, to one of highest paid actors on the planet. He's starred in everything from the Fast & Furious franchise to his very own action hero movie, Black Adam, and has made a killing in the process. In fact, the star is thought to be worth £664 million ($800m), which is almost too staggering to believe. The Rock has put his earnings to good use, though, snapping up some incredible homes across America.

When he's not at home, or on set, The Rock is on vacation and in the spring of 2022, he's said to have spent time at this idyllic property on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. It lies right on the beach in Kailua, with expansive, free-flowing interior spaces that open up to a resort-style backyard that gently blends into the sand of Kailua Bay.

The interior of the property stretches more than 15,000 square feet, with five bedrooms, five bathrooms, a sprawling living room, a dining room, a chef's kitchen, home theatre and games room. There's also a three-bedroom guesthouse. It's no wonder the house is currently estimated to be worth £5.5 million ($6.6m).

Outside, you'll find a stunning 1.5-acre garden, with 600 feet of white sand beach. There's also a swimming pool, a cabana, an outdoor living room and kitchen, and a bar for when your thirst needs quenching. The Rock isn't the only star to have stayed here, either. According to Forbes, Jessica Simpson, Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam and even Beyoncé and Jay-Z put down cash to spend the night here—and we really can't blame them!

American singer-songwriter, Alicia Keys, made her fortune with chart-topping hits such as 'If I Ain't Got You' and 'Empire State of Mind'. Today, the Grammy Award-winning artist is said to have more than £124 million ($150m) in her bank account. In 2008, Keys and her music producer husband, Swizz Beatz, bought this ultra-private mountain home in Phoenix, Arizona, as a place to escape the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles.

Constructed in 2001, Keys and Beatz certainly put their own stamp on the place, keeping the décor neutral, with pops of colour coming from their furnishings and artwork. Floor-to-ceiling capture amazing views, while the home's numerous living areas (inside and out) provide the A-list couple with plenty of options when it comes to relaxing.

The interior measures just over 7,000 square feet and features six bathrooms and four bedrooms. The master suite, pictured here, is a true oasis, thanks to its dramatic round bed and incredible landscape scenery. While under the sheets or sitting at her piano, Keys could soak up views of Camelback Mountain—perfect for gaining that all-important musical inspiration.

Outside, there's a 0.84-acre lot, complete with a swimming pool, hot tub and numerous zones for sunbathing and unwinding. In the summer of 2021, Keys and Beatz waved goodbye to the home, selling it for £2.6 million ($3.1m). They likely sold up because a few years before they bought a truly unusual celebrity home in La Jolla. Known as Razor House, the pair paid £17.2 million ($20.8m) for the awe-inspiring pad.

Grammy Award-winning artist, Justin Bieber, purchased his first home at the tender age of 18 and is now thought to be worth a cool £249 million (£300m), despite only being 29 years old. And, unsurprisingly, the 'Intentions' singer knows exactly how to spend his fortune, and his spare time! His Hawaiian holiday home rental is one of the coolest properties we've ever seen, making it perfect for any VIP.

As well as owning plenty of amazing properties for himself, alongside his wife Hailey Bieber, the former child star enjoys renting truly extravagant holiday homes—and Waterfalling Estate on the Big Island of Hawaii could well be the most luxurious. Positioned on the edge of a mammoth cliff along the Hamakua Coast, the contemporary home offers unparalleled amenities and endless views of the Pacific, not to mention its very own private waterfall.

Sitting on almost 10 acres of land, the sublime estate boasts 10,000 square feet of inside space, with five bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. Chic and contemporary, the home not only offers dreamy open-plan living areas, but also a rooftop helipad, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a specialist diving pool, a private golf course, a tennis court and a basketball stadium. The ultimate party pad, all of the home's three floors are also connected by a sleek glass elevator.

There's even a games room, sauna, outdoor kitchen and gym. Of course, the villa's bedrooms are utterly mesmerising thanks to their floor-to-ceiling sliding doors and ocean views. The house last sold at auction in 2014 for £5.2 million ($6.3m) and can now be rented for an undisclosed sum. However, Realtor suggests VIPs have previously rented the place for as much as £8,300 ($10k) a night. So, if you're looking to live like Bieber, if only for one day, then now's your chance! 

Property fans will know that Oprah Winfrey is no stranger to amazing real estate. In fact, the talk show host is almost as successful in the property sphere as she is in the world of film and television. Unsurprisingly then, Oprah has an array of holiday homes to escape to whenever the need arises. Her winter digs sit amid three acres of land in the town of Mountain Village, Colorado, and offer direct access to Telluride's 2,000 acres of ski slopes.

Oprah reportedly added this luxury chalet to her property portfolio in 2015, paying a cool £11.6 million ($14m) for the privilege. Built in 2001, the minimalist home is a contemporary take on the rustic ski lodge and boasts a European-inspired façade of stone and wood. Extensive glass panels fill the house with natural light and add a modern touch.

The five-bedroom lodge has lots of rustic design flourishes throughout, including exposed stone walls and barrel-vaulted ceilings decorated with natural timber. Most of the rooms offer neutral décor and a clean colour palette complemented by splashes of colour. The master bedroom is definitely a tranquil sanctuary for sleep. 

Of course, Oprah's holiday retreat also boasts a number of luxury features that only money can buy. These include a Finnish-style spa, jetted tubs, a temperature-controlled wine cellar built inside an old mine shaft, and an elevated terrace that can only be accessed by a 45-foot bridge. Sitting high above the area's dramatic landscape, this ultra-private balcony offers unrivalled views and would be the perfect spot to host VIP guests after a long day on the slopes.

Israeli actor and model Gal Gadot flew into the limelight as Wonder Woman back in 2017. Since then, the starlet has featured in numerous movies and it seems she's doing very well for herself because she's just bought herself a dreamy penthouse in Malibu, Calfornia, where she no doubt spends time when she's in the USA. Currently working on several blockbuster movies, including Cleopatra and Wonder Woman 3, Gal could sure use a place to relax!

The superhero actor, who was crowned Miss Israel in 2004, purchased the property from Bui Simon, who was named Miss Universe in 1988, meaning these highly successful women have more than just property taste in common! Bui bought the home in 1994 for £703,200 ($850k) and Gal paid £4.1 million ($5m) in December 2020, which is some serious appreciation.

The waterfront home offers 1,956 square feet of inside space, including two bedrooms and three bathrooms. There's a bright, open-plan living area with a kitchen, dining zone and lounge, as well as plenty of exterior balconies for soaking up the scenery. Every room is chic and modern, thanks to wheat-coloured hardwood floors and simple white walls, allowing the dramatic landscape outside to do all the talking. 

The penthouse's best asset has to be the main exterior terrace, though. With jaw-dropping views across the water, this space is where we'd be spending all our time. Gal and her husband, Tel Aviv real estate developer Yaron Varsano, currently split their time between a house in Israel and a £4.6 million ($5.6m) residence in the Hollywood Hills, so this vacation home will be a fantastic place for the couple to unwind. 

From Kanye West to Sandra Bullock and Harrison Ford, plenty of celebrities have chosen Wyoming as the location for their second (or third) homes. The most recent VIP to join them is social media magnet Jeffree Star, though this news might not surprise some fans, since Jeffree has been keen to show off his new purchase on Instagram. 

Jeffree snapped up the ultra-remote home in December 2020 for a reported £909,000 ($1.1m) and used the retreat throughout lockdown. The house can be found in Casper, Wyoming’s second-largest city, and sits on 70 private acres of land. As you'd expect, every window allows for jaw-dropping mountain views.

Inside, you'll find 6,000 square feet of space, which includes six bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen, a cosy lounge and a two-car garage where he no doubt stores his Barbie pink Lamborghini. There's also a detached building that Jeffree could transform into a fabulous home office. 

It's a far cry from the social media star's other homes, including the Hidden Hills château that he sold in August 2022 for £13.8 million ($16.7m). The Wyoming vacation retreat might be relatively low-key now, but we're sure that given some time Jeffree will make it just as fabulous as his other properties!

Much like Oprah, Tyra Banks has used her fame and fortune to snap up an array of incredible homes and this idyllic beach house in Malibu is the model's latest purchase. In February 2021, Realtor revealed that the former Dancing with the Stars presenter spent £3.9 million ($4.7m) on the oceanfront property, which is just one of her many homes. 

We can certainly see why Tyra bought the property. With four bedrooms and four bathrooms, the home was built in the 1980s and can be found right on the beach. It benefits from awe-inspiring views of the Pacific Ocean and while the sand is just moments from the front door, the home's 4,000-square-foot interior is also an inviting place to kick back and relax.

Bright and tranquil, every room has a relatively traditional design, but with Tyra's real estate experience, we're sure the décor won't stay this way for long. While the former model currently has a pad in New York City and the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles, it's unclear whether she'll be selling the holiday home on or making use of it herself. Either way, we're sure Tyra will make it smize! 

The home’s many plus points include its two-storey entrance atrium, which is topped with a huge skylight. There’s also a large open kitchen, a den, a bar, a laundry room and a formal dining room. Of course, no one quite does holiday homes like the British Royal Family. This dreamy Scottish castle has been a royal residence since 1952, when the late Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, The Queen Mother, purchased the property. She set about renovating it and even restored the castle's original name from Barrogill Castle, back to The Castle of Mey.

The Queen Mother spent three weeks at the castle every August and usually returned for about ten days each October. The royal renovated the estate between 1953 and 1955 and even snapped up nearby Longoe Farm in 1958. Today, King Charles is said to visit the royal property every summer.

The fairytale castle was built between 1566 and 1572 and still maintains a very traditional interior. Warm and cosy, there are plenty of antique furnishings and roaring fires. The perfect rural retreat, the property can be found just 400 yards from the seashore and many of the upstairs windows enjoy stunning views of the Pentland Firth and the Orkney Islands. 

Every year, the gardens at the castle are opened up to the public for a few days. King Charles also invested in transforming an old outbuilding into a luxury bed and breakfast, known as The Granary Lodge, giving keen travellers the chance to experience a taste of life as a royal.

When it comes to a luxury getaway you can't beat your own private island. Necker, owned by Sir Richard Branson, is part of the British Virgin Islands and has hosted everyone from presidents and royalty to actors and models. Kate Moss even held her 40th birthday bash on the island.

The private island has a laid-back luxe vibe, with Balinese-style cottages and a 12-room Great House, along with the Temple House and the Love Temple, both private rental houses. There are also two pools, various hot tubs, tennis courts and, of course, white sandy beaches. Villas start from approximately £22,400 ($27k) a week, or for a truly private paradise, you can hire the entire island out for about £34,800 ($42k) a night.

Sustainable development is important to Necker Island, with a special emphasis placed on respect for the local community and environment. Branson and Virgin have several eco initiatives in place, including using the island's natural resources to generate green energy.

It's no surprise that Branson and his family spend a good deal of time on the island. There are a number of private villas that make up the family estate plus a huge pool, several nature trails, an organic garden and an eco-friendly recreation area. Lots of the buildings and vegetation on Necker were destroyed by Hurricane Irma in 2017, but reconstruction work has restored the island back to its former glory.

George Clooney has long been a fan of Italy and has been visiting beautiful Lake Como since the early 2000s. He’s reportedly invested millions in the property market in the area, including the luxury Villa Oleandra in Laglio, a village on the western shore of the lake. He also purchased next door property Villa Margherita—perhaps to keep out prying eyes.

George bought the 18th-century villa on Lake Como back in 2001 for approximately £11.2 million ($13.5m). The 25-room luxury property contains an outdoor pool, tennis courts, a gym and a garage where the actor stores his extensive collection of vintage motorbikes. Built in a traditional vernacular style, the villa has a large botanical garden as well as extensive landscaped grounds. Inside, it boasts ornately carved ceilings, vast bathrooms and even a specially designed pizza room.

Clooney married human rights lawyer, Amal Alamuddinm in Venice in 2014 and the pair spend a good deal of time at their holiday home by the lake, dining in local eateries and enjoying the weather with their twins.

The villa has seen many a famous face over the years. In August 2018, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle came to stay to finish their summer off in style. Most people know that Leonardo DiCaprio is a big fan of vacations. From luxury yacht trips with fellow A-list stars to Saint Tropez getaways, The Revenant star certainly gets about. Yet when staying local, the Hollywood icon chooses Palm Springs, California for his domestic holidays, the place where the likes of Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley also once vacationed.

Of course, this is no ordinary holiday retreat. It was originally built for the American singer Dinah Shore in 1964, but Leo reportedly scooped it up in 2014 for £4.3 million ($5.2m). The house had only been on the market for a few days and the property experts at Curbed discovered that it was Leo who placed the winning bid, after selling his Malibu beach house a few months before. 

The historic mid-century home was designed by renowned architect Donald Wexler, who created plenty of incredible post-and-beam properties in the Old Las Palmas neighbourhood of Palm Springs. Spanning 7,100 square feet, the residence features six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, as well as light-filled living spaces that wrap around the garden. Every space is kitted out with high-end furnishings and elegant mid-century décor, such as stone walls and wood-panelled ceilings. 

The ultimate holiday retreat, the property comes equipped with two saunas, a guesthouse, an outdoor pool, a tennis court, a cocktail bar and a screening room. If you've ever wanted to spend the night in Leo's house then now you can. This dreamy mid-century home is just one of many celebrity homes currently available to rent. But you'll need some serious cash if you fancy staying here because it's £3,100 ($3,750) a night.

In December 2020, Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey, picked up a brand-new Hawaiian hideaway for his wife, Camila Alves, and their three children to enjoy. The Dallas Buyers Club star purchased the home for a reported £6.5 million ($7.8m), and once you see inside you might just understand why the home demands such a price tag.

The beautiful beach house occupies an enviable waterfront plot inside the exclusive Kukio Beach and Golf Club community in the town of Kailua-Kona on the Big Island. Known as the Kaupulehu Residence, the brand new home features six bedrooms and six bathrooms, as well as plenty of open-plan living areas where spectacular views can be savoured. Built from the finest materials, the home boasts La Paz stone tiles, wide-plank oak floors, hand-carved limestone finishes and Italian marble accents.

The incredible custom-built home was designed by Kona architect Paul Bleck and offers all the luxuries needed for a relaxing vacation. The villa's striking great room is perhaps its best asset. Chic and pared-down, it boasts wall-to-wall pocket doors that open up to the garden, while its vaulted beamed ceiling adds laid-back beach vibes.
