Rihanna offloads one of her Beverly Hills homes
With a new album anticipated by the end of the year and the recent birth of her second baby, Rihanna is an unstoppable powerhouse. Following an impressive career as a chart-topping musician, the entrepreneur started her own beauty business, Fenty, and currently sits at number 20 in Forbes' ranking of America's richest self-made women. In fact, she's thought to be worth a staggering $1.4 billion (£1.1b). With her wealth, the star has bought, flipped and rented numerous properties. Let's step inside her latest sale...
Rihanna offloads one of her Beverly Hills homes
In early 2021, not long after things got serious with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, Rihanna bought a gorgeous, five-bedroom home in Beverly Hills for $13.8 million (£11m) back in 2020. Shortly after, in March 2021, she purchased this Tudor-style property right next door, paying an additional $10 million (£7.9m) for the privilege. However, she didn't keep it for long. In June 2023, she relisted the property for $10.5 (£8.3m) and it just sold for $10.3 million (£8.1m).

The sale might have something to do with the fact that Rihanna recently splashed out $21 million (£16.7m) for a luxury, 9,000-square-foot penthouse in Los Angeles, where she's thought to spend most of her time. However, it isn't hard to see what drew the star to this residence. Hidden behind secure gates, it was built in the late 1930s and features four bedrooms and five bathrooms, spread out over its 5,100-square-foot floorplan.

With formal living and dining rooms, many of which are kitted out with cathedral ceilings and endless windows, it's the perfect house for entertaining. The more low-key open-plan kitchen flows out to a beautiful backyard – the perfect spot to kick back and relax. There's also a small but stylish home office, where Rihanna may have spent time working on her multiple businesses.

Without a doubt, the primary bedroom is one of the finest spaces in the house. For starters, it's huge! It comes complete with a fireplace, a private balcony and a high-end spa bathroom that looks plucked from a 5-star hotel.

Outside, the half-acre backyard boasts plenty of space for alfresco entertaining, with numerous patios and sitting areas, a swimming pool with a poolside cabana, a built-in barbecue and a fire pit. There's also a vegetable garden and a one-bed guesthouse. Likely bought as an investment, Rihanna didn't leave the house to languish and reportedly leased it out to tenants during her ownership.

Simon Cowell sells London mansion over safety fears
Thought to be worth a staggering $600 million (£473m), British TV personality, entrepreneur and record executive, Simon Cowell, made his fortune through music and the world-renowned X Factor and Got Talent TV franchises. He's also the brains behind some of the world's biggest music acts, which he signed and managed under his Syco Music record label. These include the likes of Little Mix, One Direction, Leona Lewis and Fifth Harmony. So, where does the multi-millionaire live?
Simon Cowell sells London mansion over safety fears
As well as owning homes in California, including a Malibu beach house and a mansion in the prestigious 90210 zip code of Beverly Hills, which he sold in 2020 for a whopping $24 million (£19m), Cowell also owned this beautiful period property in the upmarket London neighbourhood of Holland Park.

It's thought that Cowell lived in the six-bedroom Georgian villa for 16 years, but decided to leave London for the country after a series of unsettling break-ins and attempted burglaries. Cowell and his family were said to be left in “constant fear”. Clearly in a hurry to offload the place, Cowell took an enormous hit on the sales price. The property was first listed in July 2023 for $57 million (£45m), but days later he agreed to sell the house for just $19 million (£15m). That's an eye-watching discount of $38 million (£30m).

According to The Guardian, Cowell was the target of an alleged burglary plot, cooked up by the very security consultants he had paid $634,000 (£500k) to make the property secure. A truly shocking story, the scheme reportedly involved selling a decoder that could unlock the steel front door of Cowell's home in seconds. Luckily, however, the plot was rumbled by reporters at The Sun. The house was also burgled in 2015, while Cowell and his family slept upstairs.

Before that, in 2012, a woman reportedly broke into the house via a bathroom and entered the home holding a brick. So, it's no wonder that Cowell was keen to make a swift exit from this beautiful but targeted historic home. Sadly, we don't know too much about the property, but we do have intel that it extends 5,800 square feet, has six bedrooms, numerous reception rooms and a gorgeous walnut-clad bar where no doubt plenty of VIP meetings took place.

Traditional and elegant, the house has four generous floors and is bursting with lovely details, including glossy timber floors, pretty fireplaces, delicate cornices and ceiling roses. Outside, there's also a gorgeous garden with a swimming pool, sunbathing deck and lounge. Letting go of this place, though a relief, must also have been a difficult thing for Cowell and his family to do.

Elizabeth Taylor’s Palm Springs holiday home for sale
British-American actress, Dame Elizabeth Taylor, began her career as a child actor in the early 1940s but it was her starring roles in the likes of Cleopatra and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof that made her a household name. Sadly, the '50s starlet passed away in March 2011 at the age of 79, but her legacy lives on in the gorgeous Palm Springs holiday home that she owned for almost a decade...

Affectionately nicknamed Casa Elizabeth, the Hollywood star's former holiday home lies in the heart of the Coachella Valley. This Palm Springs beauty was one of two homes Taylor owned at the time of her death, the other being a Bel-Air estate that previously belonged to Nancy Sinatra. This one, however, was built in 2001 and purchased by Taylor in 2004, for $1.4 million (£1.1m).

After receiving the keys, Taylor called in her close friend, supermodel and interior designer Kathy Ireland, to help her complete a thorough renovation. So, it's likely the house hasn't changed much since Taylor's day. Light, modern and free-flowing, the 4,200-square-foot residence is laid out over a single floor, with many of the living spaces opening up to the tranquil backyard.

Plus, from almost every vantage point you can soak up dreamy views of the surrounding San Jacinto Mountains. Kim Kardashian offloads her spare Hidden Hills ranch
Having been in the public eye for more than 15 years, reality TV star, model and entrepreneur, Kim Kardashian, is now worth an estimated $1.7 billion (£1.4b), according to Forbes. Having developed several multimillion-dollar businesses, including her iconic SKIMS shapewear brand, Kim also has an impressive property portfolio. However, one of the star's homes might just surprise you...

Kim Kardashian offloads her spare Hidden Hills ranch
You may know that in 2014, Kim Kardashian and her then-husband, Kanye West, purchased an expansive Hidden Hills mansion for $20 million (£15.8m), but did you know that they also bought a much smaller pad next door? The former couple bought this modest, ranch-style home in October 2019, paying just $3 million (£2.4m) for it.

Earlier in the same year, they also purchased a second adjoining house for $2.7 million (£2.1m), securing seven-and-a-half acres of land surrounding their primary Hidden Hills mansion. It's likely then that the purchase of this home, and the other neighbouring residence, was merely strategic in order to maintain maximum privacy. It's unclear whether or not the couple actually spent any time here.

Spanning 3,874 square feet, the ranch home boasts rooms with vaulted timber ceilings and extensive windows. There's a main living room, four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a traditional kitchen and a four-car garage. If the listing photos are anything to go by, it looks like Kim and Kanye made no changes to the residence during their ownership, which further indicates they never actually used the house.

Of course, no Kardashian property – even a spare one – would be complete without its own swimming pool and plenty of selfie spots. The backyard also has a covered patio and a built-in barbecue terrace, but it isn't a patch on Kim's full-time home.

The home also has state-of-the-art equestrian facilities, including a four-stall horse barn, a tack room, a feed room and a corral area. Kim's eldest daughter, North West, is especially fond of horse riding, so perhaps she made use of these enviable facilities. In the wake of her divorce from Kanye, Kim took ownership of the house and in September 2022, she listed it for $5.3 million (£4.2m). However, it eventually sold in summer 2023 for $3.5 million (£2.8m), which is still a decent return on her initial investment.

The Weeknd sells his luxe LA condo
If you know anything about The Weeknd, you'll know he has owned bags of incredible homes over the years. The Grammy Award-winning singer and record producer started his career on YouTube and following his debut mixtape, House of Balloons, the musician has gone from strength to strength. Today, he's thought to be worth $300 million (£237m) and obviously, he's used his money wisely, buying beautiful homes both in America and his hometown of Toronto, Canada.

After listing his dreamy Hidden Hills mega-mansion in 2019, which he later sold to Madonna, The Weeknd snapped up a luxurious penthouse inside Beverly West, an exclusive boutique high-rise in the heart of Los Angeles. The singer paid $21 million (£16.6m) for the place, which at the time made it one of the priciest condos ever sold in LA, according to Mansion Global. However, after buying an amazing mansion in Bel-Air in late 2021, The Weeknd decided to wave goodbye.

He listed the place in January 2022 for $22.5 million (£17.7m), but after more than a year on the market, he still hadn't secured a buyer. Finally, in August 2023, the 'Starboy' managed to sell the place, bagging $18 million (£14.2m) for the place. The buyer, the former president and CEO of the UCLA Health System, is also said to have paid an extra $1 million (£795k) for all the furnishings. Covering the entirety of the 18th floor, the plush apartment spans an astonishing 7,950 square feet and was designed to make the most of the dramatic views.

Contemporary, minimalist and clean, the home is in keeping with the singer's other properties, but this one is filled with quirky artworks, large-scale statues and one-of-a-kind, statement furnishings. Yet it's undeniably elegant, with walnut accents, architectural lighting, 11-foot ceilings, natural stone and wide-plank white oak floors. As for rooms, there's an open-plan great room, a dining area, four bedrooms and eight bathrooms.

The ultimate party house, it also boasts a bar, a temperature-controlled wine vault, a gym with mirrored walls and an incredible kitchen with marble countertops, natural wood panelling, built-in lit shelving and a dine-at island. It was reportedly custom made and designed in Italy. Plus, there are two balconies that provide views of the Pacific Ocean, the Santa Monica mountains and downtown LA.

The primary bedroom comes complete with wood-panelled walls, statement lighting, a marble ensuite bathroom and a large walk-in closet with gorgeous glass built-ins. Residents of the Beverly West building also have access to a range of communal facilities, including valet parking, 24/7 concierge, a security team, a swimming pool and a rooftop helipad. However, such opulence doesn't come cheap and HOA fees for The Weeknd's pad add up to a cool $8,000 (£6.3k) per month.

Tom Ford buys Jackie Kennedy’s childhood home
American fashion designer, Tom Ford launched his eponymous luxury brand in 2005, after serving as the creative director at both Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent. A highly talented writer, too, Ford wrote and directed films A Single Man and Nocturnal Animals, both of which received critical acclaim. He recently sold his fashion label to Estée Lauder Cosmetics in a deal valued at around $2.8 billion (£2.2b), so it's no wonder the VIP is thought to be worth $2.2 billion (£1.7b).

As well as a pretty unusual Sant Fe movie set ranch and a larger Florida mansion, Ford is now the proud owner of this incredible and historic estate in the Hamptons. Known as Lasata, this seven-acre East Hampton property is where Jackie Kennedy spent her summers as a child. It hit the market in early 2023 for $55 million (£43.4m) and Ford snapped it up in August 2023 for a reported $52 million (£41m).

Amazingly, this is the third ultra-pricey property that Ford has acquired in the last year. In December 2022, he paid an eye-popping $51 million (£41m) for a contemporary mansion in Palm Beach, but just eight months later he took part in a lavish property swap, exchanging the place for an even larger South Florida spread, belonging to Brian Kosoy, CEO of the real estate private equity firm, Sterling Organization. The off-market deal is thought to be worth a cool $100 million (£79m), according to The Real Deal.

Yet Ford's latest purchase is totally understandable. The compound once belonged to John Vernou Bouvier, Jr, the grandfather of former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, so it has a rich political and local history. Media producer, David Zander bought the place in 2018 for $24 million (£41m) and is said to have invested money into a substantial restoration during his ownership, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Located moments from the Atlantic Ocean, the compound was designed by architect Arthur C. Jackson and completed in 1917. It boasts 8,500 square feet of living space, reimagined by interior designer Pierre Yovanovitch. Every single room is gorgeous and tranquil, with soft, muted tones, one-of-a-kind furnishings, tall casement windows, coffered walls and beamed ceilings. There's a modern farmhouse kitchen, a formal dining room, a home office, a sunroom and eight bedrooms.

There’s also a two-bedroom guesthouse, a caretaker’s cottage, an outdoor pool with a pool house, a three-car garage with a workshop, a sunbathing patio and landscaped grounds designed by Louis Benech. As the listing photos show, the home is immaculate and styled to perfection, but we're sure that won't stop Ford from putting his own stamp on the place. Watch this space!

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner finally sell their Miami mansion
The ultimate VIP duo, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have plenty of money to spend on high-end homes. The former, one-third of pop group The Jonas Brothers and the latter, an English actor who starred in the likes of Game of Thrones, this power couple have bought and sold some amazing homes over the years, including a 10,400-square-foot Miami mansion with bags of personality...

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner finally sell their Miami mansion
The pair bought the property just over two years ago, in 2021, for $11 million (£8.7m), investing in a substantial renovation. They quickly attempted to flip the house for a profit, but it didn't quite go to plan. The couple put it back on the market around a year later, asking $17 million (£13.4m). A few months and several price drops later, the mansion finally sold for $15 million (£11.8m), so Joe and Sophie no doubt still made a tidy profit on their investment. Now let's take a tour...

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner finally sell their Miami mansion
The grand and unique Miami home might look like it's straight out of the swinging '60s, but it was actually built in 1980. Before Joe and Sophie bought it, it had already undergone a renovation, but now it has changed even more dramatically. The couple called in interior designer, Sarah Ivory, to give the property a new lease of life and its double-height entrance foyer now welcomes guests with a vertical tropical garden – not to mention its original floating staircase and rustic stone walls.

Head further inside and you'll discover this incredible entertaining space. With its dramatic, 30-foot ceiling, metallic furnishings, bright jewel tones, floating first-floor corridors and double-sided coral stone fireplace, this living room was clearly designed to impress. Before the couple's makeover, this space was a lot more neutral, with furnishings in simple nautical shades. It's no wonder the listing agents, ONE Sotheby’s International Realty, described the home as both "Cali-meets-Bali" and "Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired but with a tropical twist."

Elsewhere in the house, there's a vibrant dining room, complete with a climate-controlled wine cellar and hand-painted, de Gournay wallpaper, a bold family room with a Mah Jong-style sofa in kaleidoscopic fabrics, a contemporary kitchen with a marble island, a games room with a dual-sided bar and six plush bedrooms. It also boasts a separate staff entrance and yet another dual-sided, full-service bar for indoor and outdoor service.

As for outside space, there are a few exterior balconies as well as a massive backyard with a luxurious sundeck, an outdoor kitchen, a state-of-the-art spa and a resort-style pool with a hot tub. There’s even a 94-foot, private dock with direct bay and ocean access. Joe and Sophie aren't the only VIPs to have owned the house, either. It was previously owned by Cuban-American musician, Willy Chirino, and is also a stone's throw away from Miami's 'Billionaire Bunker', Indian Creek Island, where the likes of Ivanka Trump and Tom Brady own lavish mansions.
Justin Timberlake lists his long-time Nashville parcel
After gaining notoriety as the lead singer of the iconic 90s boy band *NSYNC, Justin Timberlake went on to have a highly successful solo career. In fact, he remains one of the world’s best-selling artists, selling over 88 million records worldwide. With an estimated net worth of $250 million (£197m), Timberlake has plenty of spare change to spend on incredible houses. Yet one of his purchases is just a little bit different from the rest...
Covey Rise Properties LLC
Justin Timberlake lists his long-time Nashville parcel
In 2015, the 'Mirrors' singer paid $4 million (£3.2m) for a 127-acre parcel of land, about 22 miles south of Nashville, Tennessee. It's unclear why Timberlake bought the lot, since development on the land is limited, thanks to a conservation agreement enacted by a state land trust.
Covey Rise Properties LLC

According to Realtor, outdoor recreation is likely the reason behind the purchase, with the area being known for its endless hiking and horseback riding routes, mountain biking paths, plus fishing and hunting spots. Quiet and serene, a high-profile celebrity could all but disappear here.

As well as woodlands, fields, vast open plains and fenced-in paddocks, the land also benefits from the Dobyns Branch Creek running through it. The creek has two entrances; one with a covered bridge and the second more suited to larger vehicles. Perhaps Timberlake came here with his wife, Jessica Biel, and their two children to escape the hubbub of Los Angeles.

The couple aren't the only celebrity property owners in this part of Tennessee, either. Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, and country music stars Faith Hill and Tim McGraw are also said to own land in the area. After almost a decade as the owner of the parcel, Timberlake decided to wave bye, bye, bye, listing the rural estate for $10 million ($7.9m). So, perhaps the reason behind the purchase was actually all about the investment opportunity.

Cher's former secretive island mansion goes on the market
A pop music icon, Cher has been on the scene since the 1960s and she's still a huge star to this day. With dozens of albums, countless smash-hit singles and even a host of movie cameos in her repertoire, it's no wonder Cher is thought to be worth a cool $360 million (£284m). Of course, the star has plenty of spare cash to spend on amazing homes and one of the finest she ever owned recently hit the market...
Cher's former secretive island mansion goes on the market
Located on secretive and uber-exclusive La Gorce Island in Biscayne Bay, Miami, this huge waterfront mansion belonged to Cher during the 1990s. Securely slotted on more than half an acre in a guard-gated community that's home to only 29 residences, the property was fit for the Goddess of Pop. Amazingly, she's said to have paid just $1.5 million (£1.2m) for the pad in 1993 and today, it's on the market for a whopping $42.5 million (£33.5m).
Cher's former secretive island mansion goes on the market
After Cher offloaded the contemporary Spanish-style estate 30 years ago, it was bought by James Eaton, president of a Canadian private holding company, and his wife, Cecily Eaton. According to The Wall Street Journal, the couple paid $17 million (£13.4m) for the 12,450-square-foot mansion in 2020 and apparently spent the last three years renovating it, including raising some of the ceilings and turning a former covered terrace into a brand-new sitting area and dining space. So, the house has no doubt changed a lot since Cher's day.

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne list their Sierra Towers apartment
After nine years in their Los Angeles condo, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne have finally decided to part ways with their Sierra Towers home and possibly LA altogether. The musical couple, who originally purchased the condo back in 2014 for $4 million (£3.2m), is preparing to offload the sleek unit for the only slightly increased asking price of $4.8 million (£3.8m). It's thought they are planning to move back to their native England, citing multiple reasons including rising taxes, gun crime and the Prince of Darkness' deteriorating health.

Another possible reason the famous couple are selling up after more than 20 years stateside!
