Leo was born on 11th November 1974 in Los Angeles, California. During his BAFTA-winning speech for The Revenant in 2016, Leo said: “I didn’t grow up in a life of privilege. I grew up in a very rough neighbourhood in East Los Angeles." Yet thankfully, Leo had a very supportive mother, Irmelin Indenbirken, who provided the star with as many opportunities as she could.
