A-list power couple Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have decided to part ways with their incredible modern mansion in Los Angeles. The couple recently welcomed their first child, Willa, so might be looking to move to more family-friendly digs. Pop star Joe Jonas and Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner tied the knot (twice) in 2019, and shortly afterwards snapped up this newly built mansion, paying $14.1 million (£10.2m) for the privilege. Located in the sought-after enclave of Royal Oaks, in the LA neighbourhood of Encino, the white brick and wood-clad mansion is said to be just three miles from Nick Jonas' home, which he shares with wife Priyanka Chopra. 

The front door leads inside a double-height hallway, which acts as a central atrium that connects the home's seemingly endless rooms. With 15,000 square feet of interior space, this property is grand and luxurious in equal measure. Curated by Jae Omar Design, the house is kitted out with sophisticated materials and boasts a palette of aged natural woods and imported stones.

Built for entertaining, the modern mansion features endless living areas, finished with wood-trimmed doorways, high ceilings and fresh white walls, further enhancing the sense of scale. Walnut floors run throughout, while huge expanses of glass connect every living space with the gorgeous and secluded backyard – making the pad perfect for a VIP couple in need of privacy and discretion. 

Meticulously maintained, the luxurious home benefits from a stunning dining room with its very own climate-controlled, walk-in wine cellar. The unusual design features a stone wall and a step ladder, so no bottle is out of reach. Ideal for hosting, the space gently flows into the main living room and kitchen.

The sleek, high-end kitchen would be perfect for a professional chef. It opens to the main family room and has been fitted with walnut cabinets and dark grey stone countertops, as well as a seven-seat snack bar that would be perfect for visiting guests. There’s also a prep kitchen for catering events, as well as an informal dining space that spills out to an alfresco sitting area. 

The house features 11 bathrooms and nine bedrooms, all of which are equipped with high-end furnishings and private balconies overlooking the garden. The master suite is a tranquil oasis with a soaring cathedral ceiling, sitting area, custom-fitted walk-in closet, dressing room and wrap-around deck, all shaded by a canopy of trees. Every room also benefits from elegant lighting, a built-in surround sound system and expansive security. 

This lavish bathroom is one of the home's finest spaces and oozes VIP sophistication, thanks to its his-and-hers sinks and window-side soaking tub. There are also three powder rooms, where Sophie and Joe no doubt spent time getting ready for award shows and after parties. 

During their time in the property, Joe and Sophie are said to have undertaken some upgrades, making the house their own. As well as plenty of formal living areas, there’s now a beautiful spa, a spacious gym and a state-of-the-art movie theatre, making this pad perfect for work and play.

The ultra-private couple hunkered down in the Californian home during the global lockdowns and were spotted walking their dogs in their local neighbourhood before Sophie gave birth. Fully equipped with everything they could need for a luxurious lifestyle, the house is definitely pandemic proof and we can think of worse places to be quarantined. 

Shielded by trees, the ultra-private home sits on nearly an acre of land and offers a sheltered dining loggia, a built-in grilling area and an unsheltered deck that surrounds a firepit. There's also a pub-like lounge, a two-bedroom guest house, an aquarium, a cigar humidor, a fog machine, disco lights, DJ station, four-car garage, putting green, an outdoor cinema and a glistening swimming pool. How's that for billionaire bling?

No wonder then that the couple is asking just shy of $16.8 million (£12.1m) for this spectacular spread. Yet this isn't the only property that Joe and Sophie are parting ways with. In summer 2020, the couple placed their 3,000-square-foot Manhattan condo on the market for $6.5 million (£4.7m). The price was soon slashed to $5.4 million (£3.9m), which isn't much more than the $5.6 million (£4m) they paid in March 2018.
