One of the world's most well-known power couples, David and Victoria Beckham OBE are worth a pretty penny. Combining the riches accrued by the former Spice Girl and fashion designer and her ‘golden balls’ footballer husband, these two have a net worth of $450 million (£368m), a fair amount of which they’ve invested into property.
Now, thanks to Netflix's Beckham series, fans have been given a rare glimpse inside the pair's incredible Cotswold home, where David and Victoria spill some extraordinary family secrets...
Speaking from their £6.1 million ($7.4m) home in Great Tew, Oxfordshire, which is now estimated to be worth an eye-watering £12 million ($14.8m), David and Victoria have revealed a great deal about their home life – as well as how their relationship changed when they moved to Madrid, following David's transfer from Manchester United to Real Madrid in 2003.
It was during their time in Spain that Beckham's former personal assistant, Rebecca Loos, alleged she had had an affair with the footballer. Beckham dismissed the claim as "ludicrous." "It was the hardest period because it felt like the world was against us," Victoria revealed in the documentary, breaking her silence on the alleged affair. "Here's the thing – we were against each other if I'm being completely honest. You know, up until Madrid sometimes it felt like us against everybody else but we were together, we were connected, we had each other. But when we were in Spain, it didn't really feel like we had each other either. And that's sad. I can't even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me. It was a nightmare."
Loos, now a yoga instructor living in Norway, told ITV that she has suffered "horrific trolling" since the Netflix documentary aired. "He's not denied it. He's never denied it," she claimed. "He has said that my claims are 'ludicrous' – ludicrous is not denying, ludicrous can be truth."
David also revealed more of his home habits. "When everyone’s in bed I then go around, clean the candles, turn the lights on to the right setting, make sure everywhere is tidy," the former England captain said. "I hate coming down in the morning and there’s cups and plates and, you know, bowls." He speaks of the "tiring" task of cleaning "every single candle" before bed. "I clip the candle wax, I clean the glass, that's my pet hate, the smoke around the inside of a candle… I know, it's weird," he said.
He also gives viewers a tour of his closet (pictured), which is meticulously ordered – even his underwear and socks are folded and stored with precision neatness. While it's not known if the star has been diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder, which can cause sufferers to engage in repetitive behaviours, it is something the star first spoke of back in 2006. David also famously revealed to ITV in 2006 that "everything has to be in a straight line or in pairs" and that if there was one too many Pepsi cans in his fridge he'd have to "put it in another cupboard somewhere."
Fans were also treated to a tour of David's beehive, which he keeps at their Costwolds farm. He's filmed collecting honey for his DBee’z Sticky Stuff brand. While it's not yet for sale, Victoria has previously revealed that they've produced 200 jars.
David took up the hobby during lockdown, posting a photo of himself building a frame for the hive in June 2020. He followed it up a week later with a photo of himself with Harper, Romeo and Cruz in beekeeping outfits (left). And it wasn't just a lockdown hobby. David regularly posts photos and videos of his hive – most recently in May (right), to celebrate World Bee Day.
He even handed a jar of it to another famous beekeeper, King Charles, when the pair attended the British Fashion Council Foundation Impact Day 2023.
The whole Beckham clan gathered together in London on 3 October to attend the premier of the Netflix doc, along with Romeo's girlfriend, Mia Regan (far left) and Brooklyn's wife, the actress Nicola Peltz (far right). David made a heartfelt speech at the event, thanking all his family.
"Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruzie, Harper. They’ve lived through this circus with me, and they are humble, they are kind, and they are incredible, incredible human beings. I am so proud of all four of you," he gushed. "Last but not least my wife Victoria. She has been my partner through everything for almost three decades and she still inspires me every single day."
However, body language expert Judi James told metro.co.uk that there appeared to be some tension within the family. "Victoria clearly acts like a mother hen with her family group, with her key attention on her husband," she observed. In contrast, while the Beckham boys still appeared close and David is "clearly besotted" with Harper, James added that there appeared to be "some distancing" from Brooklyn and Nicola, who stood at the end of the line with "Victoria's back turned towards them," while Nicola wasn't "performing any beaming smiles at being there."
It's easy to see from David and Victoria's Instagram pages that they do indeed dote on their youngest child, Harper. They even built her this treehouse, which reportedly cost £100,000 ($123k). The pair applied for planning permission for the mini dwelling a year after they moved into their spectacular home. At the time, Harper would have been just six years old and may have played there with older brother Cruz.
However, it wasn't without controversy. Neighbours wrote to the West Oxfordshire District Council, complaining that the playhouse had been built before planning permission was granted. "I feel it makes a mockery of the planning procedure and a waste of time asking for comment on a structure that is already completed," one local railed, according to The Daily Mail.
"This seem to be the norm for [the Beckham house]. Normal folk would be made to take this down and apply for permission using the proper procedure." It's far from the only planning dispute that David and Victoria have been embroiled in since they moved to Oxfordshire...
The Beckham's Cotwolds farm and London mansion have both hit the headlines due to grand plans that caused controversy with their neighbours.
In the latest development, the famous couple won a planning battle to transform an outbuilding into multiple home offices, presumably where they'll run their multimillion-dollar empire from.
The high-profile pair submitted an application to turn the loft of an existing 'gardener's store' at their sprawling home in Great Tew, Oxfordshire into three separate offices at the beginning of August, according to plans submitted to West Oxfordshire District Council.
As we can see from this diagram, which formed part of their planning application, the former footballer and his singer-turned-fashion designer wife are going to add a bathroom, internal and external stairs, and two heritage conservation Velux windows, as well as the new workspaces.
There will also be a single garage space at the rear, accessible through double oak doors.
While there were no objections to this specific application, a similar previous plan drew ire from one particularly peeved local, who according to The Sun complained: “Surely this is just a back-door way of trying to turn this barn into a residential property. It is a barn and should remain so.”
According to planning documents, the couple built the garden store along with a security cabin after they won planning approval in October 2022.
The Beckhams have applied for extensive additions and alterations to their Grade II-listed home since buying it in 2016 for £6.1 million ($7.4m), stirring up plenty of animosity in the process.
Over the years, David and Victoria have reportedly added a football pitch, an outdoor pool, a sauna, a raised kitchen garden and greenhouse, as well as this enormous kidney-shaped lake, complete with its own island and bridge. The home is now estimated to be worth an eye-watering £12 million ($14.8m). A recent application for a temporary access road was seen by some locals as an attempt to gain "a longer drive into their property," according to The Sun.
Another complaint submitted to West Oxfordshire District Council accused the couple of "bringing in suburbia" and mocked their promise to recreate a classic English meadow scene.
"Capability Brown would never have designed a garden with such features". "Classic English? I don’t think so. I am surprised they have not applied for a funfair ride to be installed." The Beckhams quietly withdrew their request to build the road.
But it's not just their Chipping Norton neighbours the pair have crossed swords with. They also upset Holland Park residents over plans to modernise their London home, which they bought for £31.5 million ($38.8m) in 2013.
The Beckhams had big plans to 'spice up' their five-storey mansion, submitting 50 planning applications. Visions included an extended cellar, gym, giant cinema screen and six renovated bedrooms. The air-con, which the couple intended to install in five rooms, was also a sticking point.
Their neighbour insisted plans would affect the historic character of the house and surrounding properties, not least due to "noise, vibration, dirt, pollution and dust" caused by construction.
The showbiz pair kept cool heads, though, and eventually their lofty plans won out. The designs were approved with the council conceding they would have little impact on surrounding properties.
The pair's renovation plans were fulfilled for a reported £8 million ($9.8m) and they rounded off the interiors with a monochrome scheme and marble finishes, such as this staircase connecting the five glittering storeys.
In a recent development, the Beckhams are having to appeal to the council once again after they discovered their home was: "In poor structural condition due to wear resulting from age."
A raised terrace is so close to collapsing that the couple had to seal off access to it, according to The Daily Mail. However, because the building is Grade II-listed, they will need council approval for the works.
The property is now purportedly worth upwards of £40 million ($49m), not least because of its sought-after location in Holland Park. The star-studded postcode is shared by big names such as Simon Cowell and Elton John.
Before we take a closer look at the Beckham's beautiful homes, let's see where it all began...
As we've seen, Posh and Becks own numerous properties, but spend most of their time as a family in their grand Holland Park ‘townhouse’ (read, mansion) in West London. Alongside their idyllic farmhouse in the Cotswolds and a modern apartment in Miami, the Beckhams have their pick of properties to recline in. But where did they grow up?
Let’s take a tour of their impressive real estate journey, from Salford to Miami…
Born Victoria Caroline Adams on 17 April, 1974, in Essex, UK, the woman better known as Posh Spice earned her nickname. Victoria was reportedly embarrassed of her wealthy family, and would beg her rich dad not to drop her off at school in his Rolls Royce.

Victoria, her sister Louise, and brother Christian grew up in the sleepy village of Goff’s Oak in Hertfordshire, often referenced as a more rural section of the London commuter belt. Seen here with the family dogs, Victoria entered the Goff’s Oak dog show in her youth.
However, after watching the 1980 movie Fame, she decided to pursue a career in the performing arts, attending the Laine Theatre Arts school to study dance and modelling.
Son of hairdresser Sandra and kitchen fitter Ted, David was born on 2 May, 1975, in Leytonstone, London, UK. Both parents were huge Manchester United fans and encouraged their son to pursue his passion for football.
Playing for a local youth team with his dad as coach, Beckham would go on to play professionally from the age of 17 for Manchester United, helping the team win the Premier League title six times and the FA Cup twice, along with the UEFA Champions League.
David grew up in this terraced house on Norman Road, Leytonstone in East London. David lived here with his parents and two sisters, Lynne and Joanne.
Ordinarily, this Victorian period property would sell for around £200,000 ($246k), but reports say the last owners attempted to offload it for £1 million, relying upon the appeal of its celebrity former resident.
However records show the property previously sold for £215,000 ($265k) in 2009, so perhaps that was a slight over-estimate?
The Spice Girls formed in 1994, when Victoria was 20, and with no inkling of how hugely successful the band would become. They released their debut album, Spice, in 1996, selling over 20 million copies worldwide.
The follow-up, Spiceworld, arrived one year later. But where did the band live?
Before they were even called Spice Girls, the band lived together in this house on Boyn Hill Road, Maidenhead, UK. Then named Touch, the girl group also lacked a Baby Spice, with Michelle Stephenson in the place that would later be taken by Emma Bunton.
Just as in the plot of their 1997 movie Spice World, the girls fell out and split with their manager before moving out of their semi-detached "ladette" pad in Maidenhead.
Legend has it that Victoria Adams fell in love with David at first sight, in the players' lounge at Manchester United's stadium, where they were playing a charity football match. Becks, meanwhile, had apparently already developed a crush on Posh.
The following year the lovebirds were engaged and expecting their first child, Brooklyn, who was born in March 1999. But where did the young family live?
Footballer Becks purchased his first home in 1996 for £150,000 ($185k) in Salford, Manchester, UK. Victoria moved in after they began dating in 1997, and the couple welcomed baby Brooklyn here, too. In an old documentary, David is seen showing the presenter around his Hazlehurst Road home.
The four-bedroom first home featured magnolia walls, cream leather sofas and matching draped curtains, alongside a life-size cardboard cutout of David that he says Victoria's mum had wanted.
The Beckhams sold their marital home soon after Brooklyn was born for £190,000 ($233.8k) and moved to the countryside where a rather beautiful home was waiting...
In July 1999, the power duo tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at a castle outside Dublin, just four months after the birth of Brooklyn. In August 1998, a whole year before the wedding, they purchased this charming Cheshire penthouse for a reported £317,000 ($390k).
Oakwood House is a stunning red brick mansion, with huge arched bay windows, ornate architectural features, and an expanse of well-manicured communal gardens.
After four years in the family home, which Victoria was reported to have decorated with a zebra-print living room and Harrods kitchen, the Beckhams sold their Oakwood House apartment for a profitable £600,000 ($738k) in 2002.
Here, photos from a newer listing show the drawing room used as an open-plan living and dining room, with neutral cream decor and crystal chandelier.
As they awaited the arrival of second son Romeo, the expanding Beckham clan moved into this Grade II-listed five-bedroom barn conversion, complete with indoor pool and half an acre of land.
Snapping up the family estate for just shy of £1.3 million ($1.5m) in 2002, the footballer and pop star set to work renovating the building, with a budget of £200,000 ($246k).
Known as Hollinshead House, the barn conversion is located near their previous home in Alderley Edge, Cheshire. With exposed brick walls, high-vaulted ceilings and patio doors that lead out to the large gardens, we’re sure the family enjoyed plentiful space away from prying eyes.
After welcoming their third child, Cruz in February 2005, the Beckhams sold their Cheshire abode for just shy of £1.6 million ($1.9m) that same year.
In October 1999, not long after purchasing Hollinshead House, the newlyweds snapped up Rowneybury House, a 1930s Georgian-style residence that was formerly a council-owned children’s home, for £2.5 million ($3.1m).
Spanning a jaw-dropping 24 acres, the seven-bedroom home soon became known as Beckingham Palace thanks to the couple's celebrity status.
Located between the Hertfordshire town of Sawbridgeworth and Harlow, Essex, the epic abode hosted many impressive features both inside and out.
From an Audrey Hepburn-inspired bathroom to £20,000-worth ($24k) of fibre optic lights on Brooklyn’s ceiling, Victoria had reportedly themed each room. Pictures of the interior are lacking, but we'd love to know if any of the rooms were Spice Girl-themed!
Spending a rumoured £3 million ($3.7m) on the interiors, the couple even had their faces superimposed onto a Cinderella and Prince Charming frieze. Two lines of fencing were erected, one with seven watchtowers, plus innumerable security cameras and guards were placed around the property to protect the family's privacy.
The grand house also had an indoor swimming pool, snooker room, gym and flood-lit tennis courts. But that’s not all…
Outside were three differently themed gazebos, a £70,000 ($86k) barbecue and a marble-floored garden pavilion, as well as a petting zoo, woodland chapel, a playground in the form of fake ancient ruins, gardens (including a maze) and, of course, a professionally tended football pitch.
Although the family moved to the US in 2007, The Beckhams hung onto the home until they reluctantly sold up in 2014 to insurance tycoon Neil Utley for £12 million ($14.8m). It was an off-market deal that came complete with their Ferrari, two Jaguars, and even their holiday home in the south of France.
Sharing a poolside photo of the family in Dubai for Father’s Day 2020, Victoria gave fans a glimpse of their villa in Palm Jumeirah, which they snapped up in 2002 for £1.3 million ($1.6m) as a holiday home.
The beautiful abode with whitewashed concrete walls and arched walkways was eventually gifted to Victoria’s parents, Tony and Jackie Adams.
The Beckhams own not one, but two homes in Dubai, including a luxury £4 million ($4.9m) apartment in the extravagant Burj Khalifa. Although they haven’t shared any photos of this particular Dubai pad they snapped up in 2009, we’re sure they enjoy some incredible views from the world’s tallest tower.
This incredible two-bedroom apartment, available to rent from Luxuryproperty.com, gives us a glimpse of what they look like inside. The distinctive shape of the building means lots of curved walls throughout, but floor-to-ceiling glass definitely offers the best views in town.
These sought-after properties rarely come on the market either, but one sold in July 2022 for Dh317 million, that's £70.1 million ($86.3m).
Not content with two holiday homes, in 2003, the Beckhams splashed out on a beautiful six-bedroom house in Bargemon, Cote d’Azur, for £1.5 million ($1.9m), spending a further £5 million ($6.2m) on renovations.
The Domaine Saint-Vincent mansion hosts three reception rooms and four bathrooms over 600 square metres of living space.
In addition to the guest house, the property comes with staff accommodation, with the interiors completely redesigned by Victoria herself, who seems to have a real passion for interior design.
The popstar has good taste, too, seen here in the main house which hosts a beautifully appointed drawing room and fully equipped modern kitchen, all within exquisite South of France surrounds.
The 19th-century mansion was said to be haunted by the former owner who died on the premises. Despite the infinity pool with magnificent views of the woodland and meadow, chapel and various outbuildings, the magnificent abode struggled to sell, and was listed by Knight Frank for just £2.4 million ($3m) in 2016, with Posh and Becks making a £4 million ($4.9m) loss.
After David joined the LA Galaxy football team in 2007, the family upped sticks and relocated to the sunnier climes of California, purchasing a six-bedroom, 10-bathroom abode in Beverly Hills for £14.8 million ($18.2m).
Pictured is their Beverly Hills rental, which they leased at £19,900 ($24.5k) a month in 2017 after selling their former California house for £26.8 million ($33m) that year.
Built in 2014, the hilltop house boasts an indoor cinema, zen garden and dreamy infinity pool, plus a firepit overlooking sweeping views of Downtown LA. David and the kids enjoyed the stateside pad for October half-term holiday in 2018, while Victoria reportedly stayed in the UK overseeing her VB fashion business.
Not long after celebrating their 12th wedding anniversary, Posh and Becks welcomed their fourth child and first daughter, Harper Beckham, in 2011. Two years later, the US-based brood moved back to the UK after David retired from football in 2013.
In need of plenty of space, they bought this six-bedroom Grade II-listed townhouse for £31.5 million ($38.8m) located in Holland Park, London.
The wealthy pair spent an estimated £8 million ($9.8m) on renovating the property, according to Hello Magazine, which now boasts a gym, home cinema, indoor pool six large bedrooms and even its own air-conditioned garden.
The renovation project was orchestrated by celebrity interior designer Rose Uniacke, and the Beckhams moved in three years later in 2016.
Thanks to their Instagram posts, we get to catch a glimpse inside the Holland Park townhouse and marvel at all the mod-cons, such as wall-mounted TVs in the kitchen, marble worktops and their £2,700 ($3.3k) designer coffee machine.
Here, David makes use of the kitchen, fitted with state-of-the-art appliances, sleek black cupboards, and open wooden shelving with strip lighting offering extra storage space.
Outside, in the garden, the kids can enjoy hanging out in a large tipi while green-fingered Victoria revels in the ultra-manicured lawn, with mature London trees for added privacy. If their social media posts are anything to go by, the family are happy to stay here for the time being.
Presumably while waiting for the completion of their London townhouse renovations, the Beckhams decided to splurge on their gloriously cosy Cotswolds mansion for a reported £6.1 million ($7.4m) in December 2016.
Situated near members' club Soho Farmhouse, the converted barn is now estimated to be worth an eye-watering £12 million ($14.8m).
Playing host to many special family memories, including Brooklyn's 21st birthday celebration and the christenings of Cruz and Harper, the country estate is a beloved retreat.
Victoria’s home office is both cosy and Insta-worthy, with geometric hardwood flooring, exposed brick walls, floor-to-ceiling windows and sumptuous brown floor-length curtains.
Having spent lockdown here, the Beckhams' home hosts more than enough space for the family and celebrity guests such as family friends, Gordon Ramsay and his brood.
In 2017, the loved-up Victoria and David renewed their vows at their Cotswolds manse, with just six people in attendance for an intimate and meaningful affair.
That same year, Victoria was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her services to the fashion industry. Back at home, the former footballer splashed out on a cabin with a sauna and steam room, alongside a garden plunge pool.
Not content with their UK-based properties, the famed duo set their sights on a $24 million (£19.5m) penthouse apartment in the One Thousand Museum building, Miami, designed to emulate a seven-star hotel and offering the most incredible amenities to its 100 tenants.
David does have work in mind, however, using it as a base for when he's busy running his football team, Inter Miami.
With epic views out across the Miami skyline, the interiors are just as impressive, reportedly boasting Italian kitchens with quartz countertops, custom-designed walk-in closets and spa-like bathrooms. What’s more, the doting parents can spend more time with their US-residing son, Brooklyn.
Although clearly a close-knit family, it was soon be time for eldest son Brooklyn to start his own property portfolio. Brooklyn bought his first home with his wife Nicola, daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz.
The gated five-bedroom mansion sits in the Beverly Hills district, complete with private gym, sauna and juice bar, and the couple snapped it up for £8.5 million ($10.5m) in June 2021. Not a bad first home…
Inside, the designer pad boasts huge floor-to-ceiling glass windows for idyllic views across Los Angeles, alongside an outdoor infinity pool, massage room, barbecue area and large outdoor baths, as well as a chic curved kitchen area for Brooklyn to shoot his now famous cookery videos as featured on Vogue's YouTube channel.
It seems David might just be getting the knighthood he has long desired, after he has reportedly "snubbed" his old friend Prince Harry and is cosying up to King Charles, The Sun reported. The sporting legend was reportedly left "absolutely bloody furious" after Harry and Meghan accused him and Victoria of leaking stories about the royal pair in July, The Mail on Sunday has alleged. Since then, it has been rumoured that David – a staunch monarchist who queued for 13 hours to pay his respects to the late queen as she lay in state – accepted an invitation to discuss becoming an ambassador for a royal charity.
Meanwhile, Victoria may be about to reunite with the Spice Girls for their own docuseries. The famous five will reportedly receive £1 million ($1.2m) each to take part in the Netflix doc, which will celebrate 30 years since the girl group first burst onto our radios, according to The Sun.
Whatever the future holds for Posh and Becks, it's safe to say they'll only hang they designer shoes – and football boots – in the swankiest of pads. We can't wait to take a look around!
