Inside the incredible floating UFO home
Unidentified Floating Object
Take a look at this incredible invention! Could this be your next home?
Floating happily
The UFO is a two floor “living floating house”, designed with a floating disk, with two half spherical fiberglass shells. It’s 12.55 meters (41 feet) long.
How it works
The UFO gets its energy from natural elements: Fire (Sun), Air (Wind), Water (Sea) and Earth (Garden), and so it's completely energy independent.
Lead the way
The incredible design of the UFO means it can align with a compass, which keeps the floating home traveling the way you want it to go – even when the sea is choppy!
On the straight and narrow
The UFO keeps its position and stability because of its specially designed elastic anchor system.
Unsinkable
You don’t need to worry about it sinking! The inventors say it has an unsinkable platform with a special hermetic closing system which stops any water getting in.
Never thirsty
No need to worry about drinking water either! The water generator turns salt water or rain water into drinking water, and this water can even safely water the plants you’re growing on deck.
Home comforts
Inside the igloo there is a dining area and kitchen, and a bathroom downstairs with panoramic seabed view all the time!
Small but perfectly formed
Everything on the UFO is compact, which makes it a little easier for you to get around your mobile water home.
Shower from the sea
Can you imagine all the fish you could see right from the comfort of your own bathroom?
Sleeping with the fishes
Instead of counting sheep, you could count the fish swimming by when you struggle to get to sleep.
Solar power
The UFO powers itself with more than 30 square feet of solar surface, which charges the main battery directly and powers up the electric engine, so you’re good to go go go!
Free in the sea
The UFO can reach an estimated top speed of three knots, and thanks to its self-powering unlimited battery the world’s your oyster!
Could you be their investor?
Pierpaolo Lazzarini and Luca Solla, co-founders of Jet Capsule, are currently seeking investors to fund the first working prototype of their design. The prototype is estimated to cost $800,000 (£547,500) to create, and each UFO after that are estimated to cost $200,000 (£136,877). Fun fact: this is actually cheaper than the price of an average houseboat. So is it for you?
