Although the house has been renovated, many of the original period features remain, including the white rendered exterior, the parquet flooring and large, curved windows.
Inside, the hallway branches off to the kitchen and the living room on the other side. The small but functional kitchen has some original features including a porthole door, which leads through to the living room, and cuter storage with a built-in cupboard and open shelving.
The living room is spacious and bright with curved windows that let the light flood in. With a floral carpet and rattan chairs, it's a real throwback to the 1930s. This authentic Art Deco home in the city of Antwerp, Belgium was originally built in 1924. Renovated between 2004 and 2010, it's still full of period features inside and out. The exterior still has the original double wooden front door, Critall windows and decorative stonework with distinctive motifs.
Inside, the staircase, doors and parquet flooring have been restored to their original condition. The spacious Art Deco kitchen features wooden units with plenty of storage and has enough room for an eight-seater dining table. With modern-day living in mind, the property has also been adapted with double glazing, a new roof and solar panels.
The townhouse is spread over three floors, with a second dining space in the basement. The room features checkerboard flooring and low ceilings with double doors that lead onto the next room.
