From the outside the home might not look like much, but inside the four-bedroom, four-bathroom property is a charming space with a fun and bespoke aesthetic. The home was built in 1951 and fell into Gomez's hands in May 2017, when she purchased it for $2.5 million (£1.9m), placing it back on the market just over a year later.

We adore the bungalow's sweet yet grown-up style, with retro furnishings, eclectic colours and a flowing, open-plan layout. The neon sign and green velvet sofa show Gomez's fun side. In June 2018, the home was listed for $2.8 million (£2.1m).

The actor bought the modern, mid-century home in 2016 for $2.8 million (£2.2m). Originally built in 1959, the pad was redesigned and expanded in the 1960s by architect, Val Powelson. Open-plan and incredibly light, the property is now a sleek and sexy 21st century home – perfectly suited to Dornan's fictional character, Christian Grey.

The interior of the home is designed around a striking glass atrium, which acts as a centralised focal point and draws in plenty of natural light. The 2,510-square-foot home offers four impeccably decorated bedrooms along with four bathrooms.

Our favourite part of the property, however, is the backyard. Private and tranquil, the garden comes complete with a hot tub and spa area, surrounded by wooden decking and a roaring fire pit.

Zayn Malik's Bel Air mansion, $3.5 million (£2.6m)
The perfect bachelor pad, Zayn Malik’s Bel Air mansion is a mature space, far removed from the singer’s One Direction days. After living in the property for three years, the star placed the pad on the market for $3.5 million (£2.6m), making a small profit on the $3.1 million (£2.3m) that he paid in September 2015.

The property has been on the market for less than a month, but we don't think it will take long to be snapped up, since the interior is so beautiful! With a neutral colour scheme that blends white-washed walls with natural exposed brick, leather and designer furnishings, Malik's home is effortlessly homely.

The singer's former bedroom is spacious and refined too, with a queen-sized bed and extensive windows overlooking the property's idyllic back garden. Outside lies an inviting hot tub and rolling views of the Santa Monica Mountains.

The single-storey gated mansion once featured three bedrooms, but Malik transformed one of the rooms into a trendy sound studio, complete with vintage movie posters, bucket chairs and retro furnishings. Hip, sleek and edgy, Malik's mansion is by far one of our favourites from 2018.

Sylvester Stallone's incredible Californian estate was first listed for sale back in December 2015 and the home has been on the market ever since. In July 2017 the value was lowered to $4.2 million (£3.2m) – a price tag which has not encouraged any buyers, despite the home being entirely dreamy!

Inspired by sprawling Mediterranean villas, the home is laid-back and sophisticated, with grand wooden doors, double-height ceilings and immaculate interior design. The sort of property you would expect a Hollywood A-Lister to own, the villa covers 480 square metres and is laid out over two storeys.

With four bedrooms and five bathrooms, the property boasts a gorgeous, natural interior, where raw materials take centre stage. We love the exposed ceiling beams, mahogany hardwood floors and striking contemporary art. Each space feels relaxed and homely, while retaining an air of opulence.

Outside, you’ll find an idyllic swimming pool and hot tub, both offering stunning views over the rolling landscape of La Quinta, California. The estate's expansive manicured garden is also home to multiple terraces, a spa and a built-in fire pit. Despite all this, the home is yet to be snapped up!

In September 2017, Hollywood power couple Emily Blunt and John Krasinski placed their spectacular seven-bedroom Brooklyn townhouse onto the real estate market for $8 million (£6.1m).

The limestone-clad townhouse boasts three bathrooms, a formal sitting room and a central parlour. The home is effortlessly elegant, with pastel walls and splashes of vibrant colour, seen most vividly in the retro-inspired furnishings and modern wall art. In May 2018, the pad was snapped up for $6.5 million (£4.9m) – $1.5 million (£1.1m) less than the couple initially listed the home for some eight months before.

Jim Parsons’ Hacienda-style property, $8 million (£6m)
Best known for his role as Sheldon Cooper in wacky science comedy, The Big Bang Theory, Jim Parsons put his unique Hacienda-style property onto the real estate shelf in May 2018, for a cool $9 million (£6.8m). Still up for sale some six months later, Parsons recently dropped the price of the home to $8 million (£6m), in order to entice more interest.

This impressive home was one of the first to be constructed on the rolling hillside above Los Feliz, in sunny California. Previously owned by Twilight megastar, Robert Pattinson, the pad is uniquely styled and extremely spacious, with a bright hallway, neutral decor and antique touches.

Our favourite room in the house, the grand living room lies just beyond the entrance hall and boasts an ornate wooden ceiling, which is offset by mismatch furnishings and a colourful velvet sofa. Sliding doors on one side open up onto the property’s gorgeous secluded garden.

Harry Styles' Hollywood Hills home, $8 million (£6m)
Former One Direction star, Harry Styles, has perhaps one of the most appealing homes of 2018. In May 2017, the famed singer placed his exceptional mid-century mansion on the market for a cool $8.495 million (£6.494m), but had no takers. In February 2018, the singer relisted the home with a $500,000 discount.

The property stretches 4,100 square feet over three storeys. Positioned on a hillside overlooking the Sunset Strip, the L.A. pad features a long gated driveway and a spotless interior. We're head over heels for the frameless windows in the living room, offering unobstructed views over the horizon.

Styles modernised the home to create a fluid interior space, which seamlessly blends with the outdoors. Walls of glass provide continuous views over the Californian landscape from almost every room, while neutral décor and tasteful furnishings make for a sleek and sophisticated space.

When we first pictured singer Louis Tomlinson’s home, we didn't quite expect it to look like this. Located in Calabasas, California, his former mansion is a sprawling lot covering a colossal 900 square metres. With five bedrooms, eight bathrooms and almost five acres of land, the property shows a maturity above Tomlinson's 26 years.

Purchased in 2015, the former One Direction star only lived in the home for five months, before he placed it onto the rental market for a staggering $40,000 per month – that’s around £1,100 a day! The home then entered the real estate market in February of this year with an asking price of $13.9 million (£10.6m).

Located just minutes from the famous beaches of Malibu, Tomlinson’s gated home has a unique Spanish aesthetic, with barrel-vaulted ceilings, natural walnut flooring and Roman-esque columns. Located in exclusive Mulholland Drive, Beverly Hills, the imposing mansion covers a colossal 12,245 square feet and has a unique façade of white stucco and green glass.

By far one of the most unique celebrity properties of 2018, Perry bought the extensive home in August 2017 for $14.5 million (£11m), renovating it and relisting it for sale just five months later, for an almighty $16.9 million (£12.9m).

As well as being one of the most successful film and television tycoons of recent years, Perry has become somewhat of a property mogul, flipping homes in short spaces of time – and making large sums of money in the process. In May 2018, Perry sold the 10-bedroom glass home to iconic musician, Pharrell Williams, for $15.6 million (£11.9m).

In August 2018, acting royalty Meryl Streep placed her enviable Manhattan penthouse on the real estate market for a colossal $24.6 million (£18.7m). Streep and her husband, Don Gummer, have lived in the penthouse pad since 2006, after putting down $10.1 million (£7.6m).

We can understand how the property's value has soared in 12 years: the interior is to die for, with an open-plan layout and extensive glazing offering incredible views across the Hudson River. Secluded on the top floor of a New York City skyscraper in popular Tribeca, the four-bedroom pad has us weak at the knees.

Spacious and elegant, the stone villa offers six bedrooms and as many bathrooms and was listed for sale by DeGeneres and her actor wife, Portia de Rossi, in March 2017 for a whopping $45 million (£34m). The value was later lowered to $39.5 million (£30.2m) to encourage a buyer, and in July 2018 the exquisite home finally sold for $34 million (£25m) — that’s $11 million shy of the original asking price!

Outside, the property boasts beautiful shaded stone terraces, a Roman pool and faultlessly landscaped gardens. Yet the property’s master bedroom has to be its highlight, thanks to its immaculate finish of simple earthy tones and chic furnishings. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer uninterrupted views and lead out onto a secluded garden terrace. We're still not sure how the TV star could part with such an awe-inspiring pad!
