Each month we bring you a sneak peek at the homes of some of the world's most famous faces. This month, fashion designers Dolce and Gabbana put their dreamy Sicilian villa on the market, while actress Kirsten Dunst lists her stylish Los Angeles waterfront home. Plus, of course, Dr Dre's amazing mansion goes on sale and Ellen flips another luxury property with her wife Portia. Let's take a look inside...

Ellen DeGeneres and wife, Portia de Rossi have put their modern farmhouse in Santa Barbara on the market for $7.9 million (£6.3m). The frequent house flippers first put the property on the market back in May for $8.9 million (£7.2m), so have dropped their price by $1 million (£800k). However, the couple could still be making a profit on their $6.7 million (£5.4m) purchase price from less than a year ago. 

The 10-acre estate contains a farmhouse and a century-old barn that is perfect for guests. The main residence has three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms, with an open-plan layout on the ground floor. With wide-plank oak floors and high ceilings, the dining room and living space sit just off the kitchen which is fitted with black granite countertops and modern grey cabinets. 

Sitting just off from the downstairs living space there's a solarium, which brings together the interior and the outside. Full of plants that thrive in the warm environment, it's decked out with comfortable furniture and vintage-style accessories.  

Upstairs, the master bedroom features a vaulted ceiling, a fireplace and French doors that lead outside to the private covered terrace. It also has an ensuite bathroom with a freestanding bath and a separate shower.

Outside, the lush lawn surrounds the sun-drenched pool, which is enclosed by tall hedges to make it private. Towards the north-eastern side of the property, there are pastures and stables for horses as well as the converted barn guesthouse.

Former Miami Dolphins player, Andre Branch has put his modern four-bedroom home in the affluent area of Fort Lauderdale, Florida on the market for $2.3 million (£1.8m). The NFL star was the first owner of the brand new South Florida home, which he bought for $1.8 million (£1.5m) after it was built in 2017.

 

The four-bed, four-and-a-half-bathroom property has had over $250,000 (£200k) in upgrades including added smart technology, which can be controlled from a phone. The main open-plan kitchen and living space has floor-to-ceiling windows and features streamlined designs with warm wooden highlights. 

The master bedroom is just as modern in its design as the rest of the house. Situated in its very own wing, it comes complete with a bar, built-in tv unit, fireplace and private balcony access.

The master bedroom also has an ensuite bathroom complete with steam shower and his-and-hers double sinks. The other three guest bedrooms are spread over the two floors and all have their own private bathrooms attached.

Scream actor David Arquette doesn't have just one, but two properties on the market. The first listed is his lodge-style home in the Californian community of Lake Arrowhead, which is on the market for $1.6 million (£1.3m). Arquette originally purchased the property in 2017, nearly two years ago for $1.4 million (£1.1m), so is not set to make a huge profit. 

 

The four-bedroom, five-bathroom lodge has around 5,000 square feet of space and sits right near the eighth hole at the Lake Arrowhead Country Club. The large living room features wide-plank wooden floors, a river rock fireplace, a cathedral ceiling with exposed beams and a bar. It opens out onto the private, tree-shielded patio which looks down onto the golf course. 

The traditional-style kitchen is fitted with pine cabinets and gloss granite countertops with hints of red in the centre island and bar stools. The dining room sits next door with a rustic deer-antler chandelier over the dining room table.

The second property listed by the David Arquette is his ranch-style Californian estate, which sits in the prestigious Royal Oaks neighbourhood. On the market for $5 million (£4m), he purchased the property for $4.6 million around the same time as his Lake Arrowhead retreat.

Hidden behind a wrought iron fence, the house sits on more than one acre of land and was built in 1950. It has five bedrooms and four bathrooms as well spacious living areas. The cavernous living room features a vaulted ceiling with exposed wooden beams, a gold fireplace and a huge picture window that looks out over the back garden and swimming pool.

Fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have put their luxury villa up for sale. On the market for $7.2 million (£5.8m) according to Tatler, the amazing villa is set on Stromboli Island in Sicily, Italy. Made up of three buildings that have been merged to make one estate, the amazing house sits along the coastline in the formation of a wave. The duo have owned the villa since the 1990s, and regularly hosted huge parties for their A-list friends.

Inside, the property has over 2,500 square feet of interior space and shows off Dolce and Gabbana's unmistakable style. The villa is a riot of colour and contains objects produced by local artisans, such as the lace curtains seen in many of the windows that are typical of Sicilian homes. 

The dining room is filled wall-to-ceiling with majolica, Italian tin-glazed pottery dating back from the Renaissance period. The mosaic-style room also has a decorative dining room table and a multi-coloured chandelier hanging from the ceiling.

The fabric used throughout the house has been made with the designers' textiles and covers the sofas, chairs and even the furnishings on the terrace, making the villa truly unique.

Pretty Little Liars actress Holly Marie Combs has put her equestrian estate on the market for $2.2 million (£1.8m). Located in the gated community of Bell Canyon, the star purchased the rural property almost 20 years ago for $780,000 (£640k), so could make a hefty profit if she manages the sale price.

Built in the late 1980s, the couple snapped up the huge property almost two years ago for $2.8 million (£2.3m), so are potentially set to make a good profit from the sale.

Actress Kirsten Dunst has put her Californian home in the area of Toluca Lake on the market for $4.7 million (£3.8m). The Spider-Man star has owned the waterfront property since 2001 when she bought it for $2.6 million (£2.1m). Fronted by a lush garden, the Cape Cod-style residence is surrounded by a quaint white picket fence. 

 

Inside, the house has five bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms. The main living spaces are romantically furnished and feature pale wooden floors, pink velvet and floral designs. The formal living space is airy and bright with a fireplace, vaulted ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Scottish musician KT Tunstall dropped the price on her Californian bungalow in Venice to $2.8 million (£2.3m), four months since she put it up for sale at $3.2 million (£2.6m). After paying $2.2 million for the property in late 2014, she could make a small profit on the deal.

Built in 1923, the recently updated two-storey home has four bedrooms and three bathrooms with 2,300 square feet of floor space. The open-plan living and dining room features floor-to-ceiling built-in shelving as well as waist-high wainscoting which has been painted in a gun-metal grey. 

The ashy hardwood floor from the living room follows through to the kitchen. The eat-in galley space is decked out with jet-black stone countertops on simple white cabinetry and has a mix of up-to-date appliances and a vintage O'Keefe & Merritt range.

Former Today host Matt Lauer has listed his grand Hamptons Estate for  $44.8 million (£36.3m). The sale comes after Lauer and his former wife, Annette Roque, finalised their divorce and decided to up sticks and move on from their former home. The couple picked up the luxurious home in 2016, for $36.5 million (£30m) from actor Richard Gere.

Rapper and record producer Dr. Dre has put his mansion in the Woodland Hills neighbourhood in Los Angeles on the market for $5.2 million (£4.2m). The star is hoping to double his investment on the property after owning it for more than 20 years and buying it for just under $2.4 million (£2m).

Located behind gates on just over half an acre of land, the 16,000-square-foot house has a total of eight ensuite bedrooms and 13 bathrooms.
