Cool cribs of the world's biggest online stars
The rise of the social media star is one of the key defining moments of the past decade. Content creators and influencers have a huge hand in today’s celebrity world, often more so than movie stars or music artists, thanks to their loyal followers. With serious cash in the bank, these young, self-made millionaires are living the life of luxury. Let's take a peek through the keyhole of the lavish mansions of some of the world's most loved online personalities.

Jeffree Star, Cosmetics YouTuber
Cosmetics mogul and YouTube sensation, Jeffree Star is no stranger to a savvy move. Migrating from MySpace to personal vlogs to building a make up empire with the help of his mammoth online platform, the influencer is one of the highest paid YouTube star, currently worth a mega $200 million (£163m). But his talents don’t end online, as his impressive real estate shows…
Jeffree Star's Hidden Hills mega-mansion
Nestled deep within the Californian Hidden Hills awaits one of Star’s expansive former pads, bought in 2019 for $14.6 million (£11.9m). Although listed in June 2021, the 2.8-acre mega-mansion only just sold in August 2022 at a profitable $16.7 million (£13.6m). Before deciding to move, reportedly according to Dirt, in order to expand his Wyoming Ranch, the pink-loving cosmetics star made some unique style choices and renovations to the interior.

The French Normandy style abode boasts 19,000 square-foot of living space, now hosting a cream marble and gold foyer in contrast to the mansion’s original dark wood aesthetic. Alongside seven bedrooms and a jaw-dropping 13 bathrooms, the pad also boasts a chef’s kitchen, wine cellar and a home cinema for YouTube tutorial screenings, we presume.
Jeffree Star's Hidden Hills mega-mansion
Elsewhere you’ll find a 5,400-square-foot ‘beauty barn’ for makeup and hair, as well as a spa area that Star enlisted the help of YouTube interior designer team, Mr. Kate to help upgrade. While the cosmetics mogul wanted to move away from the bubblegum interiors of his previous home, the basement speakeasy bar area still provides hints towards the owner’s candy pink preferences.

Outside, beyond the beauty barn, two guest houses and 10-plus car garage, you’ll spy this magnificent loggia with central fire and pink-accented ‘conversation pit’. The ideal place to sit and swap online gossip stories by the sparkling pool. Though his latest video title states, 'Moving out of California FOREVER', we're sure Star will miss whiling away the hours at his impressive Hidden Hills hideout.

Emma Chamberlain, YouTube star
Emma Chamberlain, now a huge Los Angeles star gracing the covers of glossy magazines and interviewing for the likes of Vogue, began her career posting funny videos to YouTube from her parents house near San Francisco. Her self deprecating humour and natural charm made her an instant realtable hit with fans, who have watched her become a raving success since her channel started in 2017. Now worth $12 million (£9.8m) and racking up 11.7 million YouTube subscribers, the 21-year-old has moved out of her parents home and already snapped up two homes on the property ladder in vlogger's haven, Los Angeles.
Emma Chamberlain's late West Hollywood manse
After purchasing her starter home, likened to the sleek glass architecture of the house in Parasite, Chamberlain sold the uber contemporary LA pad for $4.1 million (£3.3m) in April 2021 in order to find a more peaceful residence. This 1950’s La Benedict Canyon house in the mountains caught her eye, which she purchased for $4.3 million (£3.52m) a month later according to Dirt.
Emma Chamberlain's late West Hollywood manse
Spanning approximately 4,400 square-feet of living/filming space, the spacious five-bedroom LA manse is hidden away behind a long, steep, blacktopped driveway with huge gates for some much needed privacy. Upon entry, a light-filled atrium style dining room boasts plentiful skylights, vaulted ceilings and forms a hearth, connecting all the other living areas.
Emma Chamberlain's late West Hollywood manse
While the listing photos show a classic, muted palette and furnishings set, we’re sure Emma has set to work filling her real estate find with her signature mid-century modern furniture pieces and adorned the walls with her artist dad’s paintings. More exposed beams fame the large reception room, while elsewhere a home gym awaits, which is ideal for exercise junky Emma.

More floor-to-ceiling windows in the main and guest suites provide luscious green views out onto the grounds, where you’ll also find a fireplace and bathroom with a “Japanese teak” soak-in tub and dual walk-in closets. Let’s hope the vlogger takes a break from all her modelling and films a house tour soon…

Trisha Paytas, YouTube and media personality
YouTube is home to many outlandish social media personalities like Trisha Paytas, an American vlogger and singer who’s never far from controversy. She’s famed for filming her bizarre song covers and emotional breakdowns, which result in waves of backlash and speculation about their authenticity. Her eccentric videos have attracted almost five million subscribers to her YouTube channel and she went on to appear in Celebrity Big Brother in the UK in 2017.
Trisha Paytas’ Westlake Village retreat
Having previously rented a luxury residence in Studio City which reportedly cost $11,500 (£9.4k) per month, in January this year the controversial star splashed out $3.7 million (£3.03m) for a sprawling estate in Westlake Village, California. The nearly 7,500-square-foot house was built in 1990 and underwent a full-scale renovation last year courtesy of the previous owners.

Inside, a grand foyer leads to a stone staircase and is flanked by formal living and dining rooms. A fireplace takes centre stage in the living room, while the dining area is separated by three chunky columns. Talk about celebrity style.

The dramatic kitchen boasts a tiled splashback, quartz countertops, designer appliances and a separate wine fridge. Elsewhere, the family room has a series of French doors that open out to the pool and spa area, which is perfect for the star to entertain. Handy, as other residents within Paytas’ new gated enslave include Heather Locklear, Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx, and former MLB star Jered Weaver.

Upstairs, the master bedroom is vast with a sitting area and marble fireplace, plus a master bath “that rivals any spa you’ve ever been to,” according to the listing. There are gold Calacatta marble fixtures, dual showers, dual vanities, a soaking tub, and a separate steam room, while the closet will accommodate all of the star’s designer attire.
Shroud, Twitch and YouTube gamer
Canadian gamer Michael Grzesiek – better known to his millions of YouTube and Twitch subscribers as Shroud – has amassed almost 7 million followers on YouTube and 9.8 million on Twitch. The 27-year-old has been streaming for over 10 years, and while he has a long list of accomplishments, 2019 was particularly fortuitous. Having signed a contract to leave Twitch in favour of Microsoft’s Mixer app, when it subsequently folded into Facebook Gaming Shroud refused to join Facebook. The gamer was reportedly paid a $10 million (£8.19m) lump sum contract buyout – after which he immediately returned to Twitch!
Shroud's LA mansion
In 2021, the gamer put down nearly $10 million (£8.19m) on this six-bed eight-bathroom pad in one of LA’s most exclusive neighbourhoods, Calabasas. He already owns a luxury home in California’s Orange County, but reportedly had been looking to move for more than a year. During a live stream, the star told fans “For real though … [I’ve] been looking into new houses and stuff … I’m kind of like over the place where I live now.” It’s certainly a step up as some of his new neighbours include Jeffree Star, Drake and of course the Kardashians.
Shroud's LA mansion
Originally built in 1980, the private pad was renovated in 2018, when it was sold for $6 million (£4.9m) to real estate developer Russell Geyser, who overhauled the gated property into a "Hawaiian-influenced contemporary" style. Inside the main house, an airy open-plan living area features skylights and huge windows to admire the San Fernando Valley view. A double-sided fireplace takes centre stage in the lounge area and keeps it cosy.

The wood-clad chef’s kitchen includes a quartz-topped island, designer appliances and a walk-in pantry, while the adjoining dining area overlooks those breathtaking valley views, and features sliding doors for the ultimate in indoor-outdoor living.

The gamer can relax after a full day off streaming – he reportedly streams for seven to 12 hours a day – in his luxury master suite, which includes this gorgeous ensuite bathroom with luxurious soaking tub with a view of the landscaped garden. Talk about a room with a view!
KSI, YouTuber and musician
KSI aka JJ Olatunji is perhaps one of Britain's best-known YouTube stars. Yet social media isn't the only string to his bow. As well as co-founding the Sidemen YouTube group and embarking on a music career, KSI also took on American internet personality Logan Paul in a boxing match after their digital feud escalated. The fight was named the "biggest amateur boxing match in history" and KSI won after six rounds. With 23.9 million YouTube followers, he is worth an estimated $25 million (£20.4m).
KSI's glitzy Sidemen House
Unsurprisingly, KSI put his fortune to good use and purchased a mammoth mansion on the outskirts of London in 2016. Nicknamed the Sidemen House, the YouTube personality lived in the luxurious home until 2019 and shared it with three of his fellow social media stars: Miniminter, Zerkaa and Vikkstar123.
KSI's glitzy Sidemen House
The six-bedroom detached home reportedly cost around $9 million (£7.6m) and boasts plenty of VIP-worthy details. Alongside the large, glistening kitchen, the 15,000-square-foot home features a grand hallway with a bespoke walnut and polished steel staircase. Elsewhere, there's a self-contained apartment, as well as a grand master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, dressing room, private sitting room and access to a private roof terrace.
KSI's glitzy Sidemen House
Of course, a group of YouTube stars with pockets full of cash needed plenty of eye-catching home features to show off and the Sidemen House doesn't disappoint there, either. As well as a home cinema, the incredible bachelor pad includes a state-of-the-art gym and a beauty salon, plus a large swimming pool complex with a sauna, steam room and hot tub.
KSI's glitzy Sidemen House
Access to the property is via a columned entrance with electric wrought-iron gates that open onto a sweeping driveway. The mansion's landscaped garden offers a sprawling lawn, a picturesque courtyard patio and an elegant water feature, while a four-car garage provides the perfect spot to showcase a prized car collection. KSI sold the house in 2019 and now reportedly resides in a penthouse apartment in London.

KSI's contemporary London penthouse
KSI, short for Knowledge, Strength, Integrity reportedly owns not one but 12 high-end apartments and homes worth a jaw-dropping $12.2 million (£10m) in total. One of which was filmed as part of an interview with the Sunday Times in January 2020. Seen here in one of the rooms he uses to film his videos, fans were quick to comment that this particular London penthouse is not his main residence, wishing they had chosen his luxury Sidement house to film in when he still lived there.
Casey Neistat, YouTuber and entrepreneur
American YouTube personality Casey Neistat is known for more than just creating digital content – the filmmaker and vlogger is also an entrepreneur. As well as co-founding Beme, a video business which has since been acquired by CNN, he also established 368, a workspace where creatives and influencers can collaborate. Neistat got his big break back in 2003 when he created a viral video about Apple's battery problems. With a net worth that's estimated at $16 million (£19.5m), Neistat now has more than 12 million YouTube followers.
Casey Neistat's modern Venice compound
With such a fortune, it's unsurprising that Neistat's home is pretty spectacular. He purchased the modern Californian compound two years ago for $3.7 million (£3m) and it isn't hard to see why it caught his eye. Light, bright and beautifully designed, the property is located just a stone's throw away from world-renowned Venice Beach in LA and was even featured in Architectural Digest.
Casey Neistat's modern Venice compound
Neistat and his family spent lockdown in the home, making the most of its flowing indoor-outdoor layout. Spanning 3,496 square feet, the home boasts five bedrooms and four bathrooms, as well as a gorgeous open-plan kitchen with a double-height ceiling and expansive glazing that leads out to a tranquil exterior deck.
Casey Neistat's modern Venice compound
After purchasing the pad, Neistat and his jewellery designer wife, Candice Pool, thoroughly renovated the interior to their exacting standards. Built in 2015, the modern fortress-like house is encircled by a high wall that shelters plenty of outdoor living spaces, allowing for complete privacy. Retractable walls of glass open up to the pool, spa and outdoor kitchen and elsewhere, there's a handy three-car detached garage with built-in Tesla chargers.

No detail has been overlooked throughout the impeccable interior, with the bedrooms and living spaces featuring a bright, beach-inspired neutral colour scheme. Despite spending a lot of time and money on the renovation, the family house was reportedly put up for sale in September 2020.
James Charles, beauty YouTuber
When Birmingham city centre in the UK was brought to a standstill in January 2019, locals could only speculate the cause. In fact, it was James Charles, a beauty vlogger who’s garnered around 23.9 million YouTube subscribers. Now, he’s also gained 22.7 million Instagram followers and enjoys many lucrative partnerships with big brands. In 2019, he hit the headlines again after a feud with fellow YouTuber Tati Westbrook, which reportedly lost him over one million YouTube subscribers in a 24-hour period – a record for the site.
James Charles’ LA mini-mansion
Situated in the Encino neighbourhood of California’s San Fernando Valley, the five-bedroom home was built in 2016 and James began leasing the plush property in 2018. From the exterior, you can see the two-car garage, which is presumably where he parked his Tesla Model X. Located on the top floor was the 22-year-old’s incredible home vlogging studio, as well as a luxurious guest room for hosting visitors.

The incredibly spacious hallway is presided over by a rustic-style chandelier. The downstairs floor plan is open and bright, with huge archways designating the different living zones, allowing the space to feel airy yet purposeful. In his later redesign of the interiors, James retained the panelled wall and shiny oak flooring but added his own touches with a high-pile rug and a baby grand piano.

A stylish open-plan space with an eat-in kitchen and a casual living area offers the perfect spot to kick back and relax. The home is decked out in an elegant monochrome scheme throughout, from the built-in units in matt black to the stainless steel appliances, all brought to life by plenty of natural light.

Outside, the incredible backyard offers plenty of luxe amenities like an outdoor kitchen fitted with a barbecue and bar, as well as a modern pool with a tranquil waterfall feature, making it a pretty spectacular entertaining space. Yet, Charles set his sights on bigger things...
James Charles’ LA starter home
In 2020, at the tender age of just 20-years-old Charles reportedly snapped up this new home in the same LA enclave of Encino, in a $7 million (£5.7m) off-market deal. The modern farmhouse-style new build bears more than a passing resemblance to the star's former rental, with a two-tone charcoal and cream paint job. According to Dirt, Charles' new pad is brand-new and was never publicly listed for sale, so photographs and exact details are scarce. However, tax records show the house sits on a half-acre flat lot, on a residential tree-lined street.

The nearly 10,000-square-foot pad boasts six bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. The upstairs master retreat has a private balcony and two walk-in closets, while the downstairs living room is light-filled. Charles' new kitchen features quartz countertops and two giant islands, and dark cabinetry not unlike his previous rental property.

Outside, there’s a pool house with a bathroom and changing facilities, a swimming pool with inset spa, and a half-court sports court with a basketball hoop. The entire lot is walled, gated and surrounded by a tall hedge and mature trees and there’s also a surveillance system with cameras and alarms for security, offering the star the upmost in celeb privacy. Talk about trading up.
Troye Sivan, YouTube personality and musician
Troye Sivan has had a diverse career, rising to prominence in 2006 after singing on Australian TV and subsequently forging an acting career, starring in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Spud and Boy Erased. In 2012, he started uploading vlogs and song covers to YouTube, catching the attention of major record label, EMI Australia. The 27-year-old now mainly focuses on music, having achieved mainstream recognition with chart-topping singles, successful albums and a plethora of sold-out tours.
Troye Sivan's Victorian style Melbourne home
After six years living in the bustling city of Los Angeles, Sivan decided to return to Australia for some peace and quiet in April 2021. Although born in South Africa, Sivan's family moved to Perth, Australia when Troye was two-years old. The meditation-loving performer chose this unique, Victorian-style abode in Melbourne, steeped in architectural history. Originally built in 1869 as a handball court, the site was converted into a brick factory in 1950 before renowned architect, John Mockridge transformed the building into a house in 1970.
Troye Sivan's Victorian style Melbourne home
Australia’s leading interior design and architectural firm, Flack Studio then renovated the residence in 2020 before Sivan snapped it up in April 2021. The three-storey, open plan abode features a kitchen, dining room, living room and courtyard where an ancient bodega was transformed into a rolling red powder room. Old photos from a recent listing show the industrial style interiors and hygge-esque decor, so different to many of the social media stars’ more minimalist, contemporary interior styles.
Troye Sivan's Victorian style Melbourne home
The Australian-born pop artist once told Vogue magazine that the thought of waking up alone in a house with 19 rooms, he would have been very sad, which explains why he plumped for a more homely, smaller abode than a lot of his peers. The middle storey is reportedly inhabited by his sister, which must help Silvan feel even more at home.
Troye Sivan's Victorian style Melbourne home
The living area extends out onto the patio beyond via huge bi-fold doors with floor to ceiling glass panels. Troye can enjoy sunlit evenings admiring plentiful flora native to Australia, California and Japan where the multi-talented star has lived throughout his life. We’re sure he feels cool, calm and collected back here in sunny Australia.
Michelle Phan, beauty YouTuber and entrepreneur
Regarded as one of the first beauty vloggers, Michelle Phan pioneered the genre of online beauty tutorials. She was among the first business-minded social media stars to monetise their hobby, and since making her debut in 2005, she co-launched the make-up subscription company Ipsy in 2011, valued at $800 million (£655m) in 2015 before she left the company in 2017. Phan returned to making videos for her 8.78 million subscribers in September 2019, after a two-year hiatus.
Michelle Phan’s Bauhaus Brentwood home
Understood to be Michelle’s first home purchase, it certainly isn’t a modest one – and how many of us can say we could splash out $4.7 million (£3.85m) on our first property? Originally designed by the Romanian-American mid-century modernist architect Haralamb H Georgescu in 1969, the Bauhaus-style residence was renovated by Los Angeles firm Kurt Krueger Architects in 2017. Located at the end of a long, private driveway, the property consists of a main house as well as a guesthouse for hosting visitors in style.
Michelle Phan’s Bauhaus Brentwood home
Stepping inside Michelle’s historic LA home is like walking into a time capsule. Multi-levelled, it’s both retro and contemporary with a mezzanine floor that overlooks the open-plan living room. The home has plenty of restored features, such as the mahogany panelling, which also clads the reading nook which sits above. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow light to flood in and frame views of the thick, green woodland outside.
Michelle Phan’s Bauhaus Brentwood home
Michelle’s eating area and retro kitchen are making us nostalgic. Along with the renovations made to the rest of the home, the kitchen has been completely reconfigured to fit modern requirements while still retaining the old-fashioned feel. Remade to fit the original specifications of the house, the cabinetry is rich and warm, contrasting beautifully with the blonde-coloured wooden floors that run throughout the house.
Michelle Phan’s Bauhaus Brentwood home
From the back of the home, you can see the vast scale Michelle’s 3,422-square-foot residence. Offering another space to dine, the open-air terrace steps down to a chic boarded deck. There’s plenty of space for Michelle to lounge or to take a dip in the pool, all secluded by a wall of dense foliage. Around the corner behind the guesthouse, you’ll find a cosy firepit for guests and friends to gather around when the sun sets.
Jake Paul, social media prankster and boxer
One-half of the always-courting-controversy Paul brothers, Jake Paul and his older sibling Logan became Gen-Z household names thanks to their popular prankster videos on the now-defunct Vine video app in 2013. In an extraordinarily short amount of time, Jake has amassed a reported net worth of $30 million (£24.5m) through contentious YouTube videos, entrepreneurial ventures and forays into acting and boxing. He now has over 20 million YouTube subscribers and 20.4 million Instagram followers.
Jake Paul's Puerto Rico home
In a bid to prove himself more than simply a social media phenomenon, Jake’s brother Logan decided to focus more on his boxing career and leave the Los Angeles lifestyle behind. According to the NY Post, he has moved into a $13 million (£10.9m) mansion in Puerto Rico in March 2021 with brother Jake joining him, according to The Sun.
Jake Paul's Puerto Rico home
The stunning Puerto Rico mansion spans over 5,200 square-feet of living space, more than enough room for the boxing brother to train. Renting out the fully furnished abode for an estimated $55,000 (£45k) per month, Logan Paul trained here for his boxing match with Floyd Mayweather in June 2021.

Marble floors glisten in the open-plan entrance rooms, with high ceilings and crisp white walls to reflect all that Puerto Rican sunshine. Also on the ground floor level you'll find a chef’s kitchen with top-notch appliances and a formal dining room for bulking up before a big game. Cementing their move out of California, the Logans reportedly according to the Metro, sold their LA mansion in Encino to friend, Machine Gun Kelly for $9 million (£7.5m) in April 2022.

Each of the five bedrooms comes complete with its own en-suite bathroom with coffered ceilings and stunning views via huge floor to ceiling windows. With a pool and gazebo beckoning outside, the property also boasts full access to over 2,000 acres of landscaped golf courses, tropical gardens and beaches and is described as an executive resort house within a gated community, ideal for the famous siblings to retire away from the attention.
