NBA star Shaquille O'Neal has put his Bell Canyon home in Ventura County, California, on the market for $2.5 million (£1.9m). The sports star has acquired an impressive property portfolio over the years, having bought the Mediterranean-style, five-bedroom, five-bathroom home around a year ago for $1.8 million (£1.4m). Nestled into the sloping hillside, the mansion sits in around one acre of land and is secured behind a private gate.

Spread over two floors, the 5,200-square-foot home was built in 1990. The double-height entrance leads through to the large living room which features beamed, vaulted ceilings, a white brick fireplace and views out across the canyons and beyond. Anthony Hopkins' clifftop Malibu estate: $11.5 million (£8.9m)
Welsh-born director Sir Anthony Hopkins has put his estate in Malibu, California, on the market for $11.5 million (£8.9m). The Oscar-winner has owned the property in Point Dume since 2001 when he bought it for $3.8 million (£2.9m). The traditional-style home is hidden away behind gates on a bluff above Zuma Beach, one of the most popular stretches of sand in Los Angeles.

Spread over two-storeys, the home was built in 1958 and offers panoramic views over the ocean. With 4,000 square feet of space, it offers five bedrooms and five bathrooms overall, as well as spacious living areas, all of which come with beautifully framed views of the coastline.

Hollywood couple Leighton Meester and Adam Brody have put their beautiful eco-home in the mountains of Topanga in California on the market for $3.2 million (£2.5m). The couple bought the gated home just over five years ago for $2.4 million (£1.9m), but are now set to part ways with the property, which sits in three acres of land.

Kenny G's Studio City farmhouse: $3.5 million (£2.7m)
While his long-term home is in Malibu, musician Kenny G also owns a more understated dwelling in Los Angeles's celebrity property hotspot Studio City. Now on the market for $3.5 million (£2.7m), the saxophonist purchased the home in 2007 for $2.9 million (£2.3m) and has tried to shift it a few times, first in 2018 and again in 2019.

Linkin Park member Mike Shinoda has put his mansion in the Beverly Hills Post Office area of Los Angeles on the market for $9.5 million (£7.4m). The musician acquired the huge home in 2008 for $7.4 million (£5.7m) so he's set to make just over $2 million (£1.5m) in profit if he gets his asking price. The gated hillside retreat sits at the end of a private cul-de-sac and has just about everything a star could ask for.

With seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms across 7,700 square feet of space, the entrance features a double-height rounded foyer with a grand curved staircase. Just next door is the formal dining room which features a decadent, gold brocade wallpaper.

Actor Christopher Lloyd has put his coastal cottage in Ventura County, California, on the market for $3 million (£2.3m). Sitting on the shores of Faria Beach, the home was bought by Lloyd just a year and a half ago for a touch under $2.2 million (£1.7m). Sold fully furnished, the cute pint-sized property offers plush accommodation encompassing two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Jon Bon Jovi has put his palatial French-inspired mansion in New Jersey on the market for a reported $20 million (£15.5m). Located on the banks of the Navesink River, the rock star's home was designed by New York architect Robert A.M. Stern and sits on a huge 15 acres of land. Named High Point Estate for its breathtaking views over the water, it also includes 700 feet of private river frontage.

Singer Demi Lovato has put her Los Angeles mansion on the market for $9 million (£7m). The singer first listed the luxury home in September 2018 for $9.5 million (£7.4m), after buying it in 2016 for $8.3 million (£6.4m). Having failed to shift it, she then decided to put the star-studded home up for rent at a huge $39,500 (£30.7k) a month.
