Giving hipster hotspots south of the border like Williamsburg and Silver Lake a run for their money, Canada's most happening neighbourhoods are vibrant locales jam-packed with of-the-moment cafés, bars and restaurants, buzz-worthy nightclubs and live music venues, the best indie stores, edgy art galleries and a whole lot more besides. If you're craving to live somewhere super-cool, here are seven lust-have properties that will no doubt pique your interest.

Osborne Village, Winnipeg
Brimming with boho vibes, Osborne Village is loaded with vintage clothing stores, ethnic eateries and gluten-free bakeries, not to mention live-music dive bars and underground nightclubs. One of its foremost attractions is the Gas Station Arts Centre, which hosts the Winnipeg Comedy Festival along with one of the littest Canada Day street parties in the country. Little Italy, which featured on the previous list, is presumably passé now. Verdun has hipster-friendly cafes and restaurants, lively nightlife, frequent street parties and festivals, and like Halifax's North End, boasts an urban beach. Better still, home prices here are lower than in many other parts of Montréal.
