With an impressive career that started when he was just 16 years old, it's no surprise that Harry Styles has built up an impressive property portfolio over the years. Along with his most recent album, Harry’s House and his headline-grabbing tour, which ended in July 2023, the star has been honing his acting skills with leading roles in films My Policeman and Don't Worry Darling. In January 2016, six months before he sold his first Californian home at a loss, Harry put down just under $6.9 million (£5.5m) on this modern pad, which sits a stone's throw away from the Sunset Strip. Perched at the top of a winding driveway, the house is hidden from the road and would've been the perfect secluded retreat for the private star. The listing with Emma Hernan of The Oppenheim Group meant the house made an appearance on Netflix’s real estate reality show Selling Sunset according to Mansion Global.

Expanding across three storeys, the main living space sits on the second floor and boasts fresh white walls and glossy floors for that quintessentially streamlined Californian aesthetic. With huge floor-to-ceiling doors, the property is perfect for outdoor living with a sizeable balcony that offers sweeping views out over the LA skyline. 

Spread over 4,400 square feet, the luxury home has four bedrooms and six bathrooms. The master suite is tucked out of the way on the third floor and features oak floors and a disappearing wall of glass that leads out onto the spacious deck with more breathtaking views and, according to reports, a putting green.

The young star would also have enjoyed a media room, complete with a plush home theatre that benefits from views over the city, much like every other room in the house. Elsewhere, the luxury home has a private gym and a gourmet commercial-grade kitchen where Styles could whip up meals for his A-list friends. 

Outside, a sparkling swimming pool sits alongside a vast patio and towering hedges that ensure privacy. Harry decided to part ways with the home in May 2017 and listed it for just under $8.5 million (£6.8m), however, he didn't end up selling until July 2019 for $6 million (£4.8m), making another loss after a number of price drops. The property hit the market again in October 2022 for almost $8 million (£6.4m) and finally sold in August 2023 for $6.7 million (£5.3m). Put best by listing agent Emma Hernan: "This one-of-a-kind, ultra-private and unique property is on to its next chapter."

Having spent time living in New York, Los Angeles and of course, his home country of England, Harry Styles has accumulated an incredible roster of jaw-dropping real estate throughout his career. He's been on the move for the past two years touring the world, plus reports say he is romancing actress Taylor Russell, so he'll have to do some serious thinking about where to put down roots next. While he's pondering his next property move, let's go back and see where he started off...

Harry Edward Styles was born on 1 February 1994 in the town of Redditch, in Worcestershire, UK. The family moved to Holmes Chapel in Cheshire, and when he was seven years old, his parents, Anne and Desmond divorced. As a child, Styles recorded covers on a karaoke machine that he'd received as a gift, with the first song being Elvis Presley's 'The Girl of My Best Friend'. The King of Rock and Roll would go on to have a huge influence on Styles' glittering music career.  

Harry and his family reportedly lived in this humble two-bedroom home in the small village of Holmes Chapel, which was available to rent for $986 (£791) per month in 2013. It boasts a ground-floor extension with an open-plan eat-in kitchen and living room, with bi-folding doors that lead out into the small garden. 

When the home went on the rental market in 2013, fans were eager to see inside the star's childhood home and get a sneak peek of the place where he spent his formative years. Aside from the master bedroom, this second bedroom is decorated with boyish fixtures and features a single bed, toys and a hamster cage.  

As a teenager, music became a big part of Harry's life and at high school, he was the lead singer of White Eskimo, with the band going on to win several competitions. However, when he wasn't singing, the budding star worked part-time in the local bakery to support himself and his dreams of stardom.

In 2010, Harry's music career finally hit the big time when he auditioned for the UK's The X Factor. Entering as a solo artist for the seventh series of the talent competition, he was chosen along with four other teens—Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Liam Payne—to form a new group, One Direction. Finishing third in the series, they were immediately signed by Simon Cowell's Syco Music and in 2011 released their debut album, Up All Night. 

Before he invested in any property, Harry Styles rented out a bachelor pad in North London with his new bandmates after they had finished their time on The X Factor. Just at the start of their fame, the group reportedly rented out a glamorous five-floor unit in the 19th-century building, which was once an asylum, but eventually moved into their own units. 

Located in 30 acres of stunning parkland, the listed property was commissioned by Queen Victoria but was converted into luxury accommodation in the 21st century, with the building's apartments proving popular with those starting out in the UK's music industry. Harry's pad would have featured a glitzy living space with arched windows—other past residents of Princess Park Manor include the likes of McFly and Girls Aloud. 

The young singers would have had access to spacious bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, communal tennis courts, a gym and private 24-hour security. With 360-degree views over the sprawling grounds and a private lift, it was the perfect space for the budding stars to get a taste of the rock star lifestyle. 

In October 2012, almost a year after One Direction released their first album, Harry set foot onto the property ladder for the first time and snapped up a home in north London for a reported $3.5 million (£2.8m). Spread over 2,300 square feet with four bedrooms and three bathrooms, the property didn't come without some drama. In 2019, Pablo Tarazaga-Orero was convicted of stalking the star after he posted notes through his letterbox and camped outside the star's house.

In March 2014, not long before the band released their concert film, One Direction: Where We Are, Harry decided to set foot stateside and bought this mid-century marvel for a reported $4 million (£3.2m). Located in a luxury community in the celebrity hotspot of the Beverly Hills Post Office area, Styles sold up in 2016 to a husband-and-wife team of pro renovators for $3.2 million (£2.5m). After their full remodel, they flipped the house for $11 million (£8.8m) to a Warner Music executive, who then sold it to Harry's friend, Grammy award-winning singer Lizzo, for $15 million (£12m).

Originally designed by architect Alejandro Ortiz, the home was built in 1967 and was designed to capture the relaxed lifestyle of Southern California. Today, the new revamp boasts wooden beamed ceilings and modern materials throughout the vast open-plan spaces. The light-filled living room includes floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open out onto a balcony.

Arranged around a central courtyard that features a swimming pool and manicured lawns, the modern home, which was renovated in 2019, now boasts a sleek kitchen space with sliding doors that lead out to a cosy covered patio space for outdoor dining.

When the star took up residence he had access to five bedrooms, but the redesign has knocked this down to just three. However, the master bedroom is still the perfect sanctuary for a good night's sleep with a small balcony, built-in closets and minimal furnishings. 

One of five bathrooms, this space features his-and-hers sinks, a walk-in shower and a bathtub that has unobstructed canyon and hillside views. With the use of raw, natural materials throughout the 5,300-square-foot home, we can see why it last sold for $15 million (£12m). 

After five albums, One Direction decided to take a break in 2015, allowing Styles to pursue his own projects. Two years later, Harry released his first solo single 'Sign of the Times', which went straight to number one. Just weeks later he released his first solo album, Harry Styles. 2017 continued to be a big year for the star as he made his acting debut in Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk, which was met with only praise from critics. Styles went on to break records with his second album, Fine Line, which was released in December 2019 and included the hit single 'Watermelon Sugar'.

By the beginning of 2017, as he was forging his solo career, Harry had set his eyes on the Big Apple and was scouting for property in the city. He ended up buying a penthouse in this prestigious apartment block for $8.7 million (£7m). Located in the Tribeca neighbourhood, the building is home to a whole host of celebrities including Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds and Justin Timberlake.

The 19th-century red brick building was formerly a factory but is now a series of luxury apartments made for the rich and famous. Harry's apartment is reported to be spread over 3,000 square feet of space with three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. The listing shows unfurnished rooms, so we can only wonder how the singer has decorated his new pad. 

Featuring a private entrance lift, the open-plan living space is the first thing the star will see. Flooded with light from floor-to-ceiling windows, the space has 11-foot-high ceilings and rustic wooden beams, while the kitchen is decked out with top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances. 

With every room as luxurious as this bathroom, Harry's penthouse also has some 'extras' including access to a 71-foot swimming pool, a fitness centre and a Turkish bath in the complex, as well as a 5,000-square-foot roof terrace and a central courtyard. Wow.

After investing in New York, Harry headed back to his home country and purchased a second Grade II–listed Georgian house in Hampstead Heath (pictured) in 2019, across the road from his first property, for $10.9 million (£9.1m). A year later, he bought a third 18th-century villa home in the capital for $5.5 million (£4.6m), right next to the second home he snapped up. Though we've had no glimpses of the two neighbouring properties yet, they were once one mansion before being separated into two semidetached homes, so perhaps Styles is planning to construct a massive mega compound from the three structures? We can't wait to see what he does with his growing London property portfolio.  

Harry's property focus had switched back to California by January 2021, when rumours began swirling that Harry had started dating actor and filmmaker Olivia Wilde. The pair were spotted at a wedding in Montecito, after meeting on the set of Don't Worry Darling, which Wilde directed and played a small role.

On Valentine's Day of the same year, Wilde was reportedly spotted moving her luggage from the Los Angeles home she shared with ex-fiancée Jason Sudeikis into Harry's rental property. Harry was staying at the home, which is owned by his manager Jeff Azoff, while filming the aforementioned psychological thriller Don't Worry Darling, in which Styles plays Jack, the on-screen husband of Alice, played by Florence Pugh.

The house is a little more modest than Styles' usual digs and is located in the upscale Laurel Canyon neighbourhood. Hidden behind private gates, it was the perfect love nest for the new couple and boasts three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

While it may be compact, the living spaces are bright and welcoming. The open-plan kitchen and dining space features skylights, walls of windows and a set of French doors that lead out onto the manicured backyard.

Built in 1952, the mid-century home most recently sold in 2014 for a little under $1.4 million (£1.1m). One of three, this bedroom boasts a private ensuite bathroom and swathes of windows that look out over the beautiful backyard.

Heading outside, the small garden has just enough space for a swimming pool, a hot tub and a deck, while high walls and trees provide the ultimate in privacy. While the pair reportedly moved on to a single-storey home in the LA suburb of Los Feliz, the property was the ideal spot to lay low at the start of their relationship.

Olivia confirmed that she was living between London and Los Angeles in an interview with Vogue in December 2021, but the exact location of the then-loved-up pair was uncertain. The couple were spotted grabbing coffee together in LA in October 2022, and celebrated Harry's birthday in London back in February 2022. According to online reports and the custody papers, Wilde was even said to be living in London with Harry alongside her kids Otis and Daisy in August 2022. However, the couple announced they had split by November 2022, although they remain close friends.

Released just before the split with Wilde, Harry's most recent album, Harry's House, released in May 2022, debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 and earned widespread acclaim. An exploration of what it means to be 'home', it garnered more than half a million sales during its first week in the US, making it the most lucrative week for an album release since Adele's 30 debuted in 2021.

To coincide with his new album, Harry also became the unexpected cover star for Better Homes and Gardens—a fitting choice given the album's name. The interview was a surprising move for the usually private Styles, with the star photographed in the country estate of renowned British designer John Pawson. Who knows, maybe the shoot was a taste of things to come and perhaps we'll see the star pick up his own rural retreat.

Styles is riding high after his two-year-long tour came to an end in July 2023, in a year when he walked away with two trophies at the Grammy Awards and was recently ranked among the top ten artists of all time. He has also been linked with Canadian actress Taylor Russell, who was spotted at his Vienna concert in July. So, could the star be on the lookout for a new love nest?
