Even if you haven't heard of Paige Laurie, it's likely you've heard of Walmart. The retail corporation operates more than 10,500 retail stores and clubs across 24 countries and, according to Forbes, has assets worth $244.9 billion (£192b). The grandniece of Walmart co-founder, Sam Walton, and granddaughter to his bother, 'Bud', Paige reportedly earns nearly $900,000 (£706k) a month from stock dividend payouts alone. So, of course, she has plenty of cash to spare for her property portfolio, which now includes a $41.5 million mega-mansion.

Known better as 'Mr. Bud' (right) and 'Mr. Sam', Paige's great uncle and grandfather founded Walmart, opening their first store on July 2, 1962 in Rogers, Arkansas. By the late 60s, there were 18 Walmart stores in Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. Today Walmart is worth around $420 billion (£333bn) and there are more than 4,600 stores across the US. Sam Walton died in 1992 and Bud passed in 1995, so the fortune is currently split between Bud's daughters Nancy Walton Laurie (Paige's mother) and Ann Walton Kroenke, and with Sam's children, Sam Robson Walton, Alice Walton, Jim Walton and John Walton. Paige has a while to wait for that inheritance, but as we can see, she's already doing very well...

In 2007, Paige bought this stunning hillside home in the Bird Streets neighbourhood of Los Angeles for $10.8 million (£8.5m). It was her first-ever property purchase and she acquired it from Hollywood star Tobey Maguire. In 2018, Paige decided to upgrade, dropping $40 million (£32.5m) on a palatial contemporary mansion in Beverly Hills, undertaking a mammoth renovation of her new home. Once the work was done, she chose to sell her Bird Streets pad.

The 5,911-square-foot home was listed for $15.9 million (£12.5m), but eventually sold in early 2022 for $13.1 million (£10.3m). It isn't hard to understand what drew Paige, and her buyer, to the house. The mansion was finished in 1962, but boasts a truly gorgeous modern interior. There's a living room, a dining room, a sleek kitchen, three bedrooms, and six bathrooms. Plus, Keanu Reeves and Leonardo DiCaprio are said to be among the many celebrities that live in this sought-after corner of LA. 

The spacious primary suite benefits from a sitting area, a huge walk-in closet and a luxurious, spa-like bathroom. There’s also a home office, a movie theatre and a luxe basement with a fitness room, wellness centre, and wine cellar. Many of the rooms open up to the home's numerous exterior decks, too, where amazing city views can be savoured.

Other highlights include the garden’s koi pond, infinity edge swimming pool and spa, outdoor dining spaces and beautiful hillside sitting area, complete with a large fire pit. Just imagine soaking up these jaw-dropping vistas every single day. But there was an even more salubrious address waiting for her to call home...

Paige's new six-bedroom, seven-bath Beverly Hills manse has stunning views of downtown Los Angeles and the snow-capped mountains beyond, not to mention an impressive infinity pool. According to Luxury Architecture, the listing claimed the home even came with its own art gallery stocked with work by artists including Damien Hirst and Andy Warhol available as part of the purchase for the right price.

The home comes with quite a history, too. The magnificent estate was once owned by famed violinist Jascha Heifetz and later by actor James Woods. Previously listed by Hilton and Hyland, you can see the huge changes made to the home. Now a modern beauty, even this bathroom comes with an impressive view. And Paige has plenty of celebrity neighbours, including Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus.

British heiress, model, fashion designer and socialite Petra Ecclestone is the daughter of Bernie Ecclestone, the former chief executive of the Formula One Group. During his career, Bernie took Formula One from a small racing competition to a global sensation, earning himself a $3 billion (£2.3b) fortune in the process. Petra herself is said to be worth $400 million (£313m), and with her wealth has snapped up one of the biggest homes in America.

Known as The Manor, this unbelievable property was built by the late TV show producer Aaron Spelling and his wife, Candy, back in 1988. Their 56,000-square-foot mega-mansion included a humidity-controlled store room, a flower cutting room, a gift-wrapping room, and much more. The house hit the market in 2011 for $85 million (£66.6m), and Petra Ecclestone reportedly paid for the pad in cash.

After moving in, Petra hired interior designer Gavin Brodin to undertake a mammoth renovation project. Although it's not known what upgrades Petra made, it's clear she has expensive tastes. This imposing entrance foyer boasts plenty of marble, a huge chandelier, and a sweeping Cinderella staircase fit for a fairytale princess. This is just one of the 123 rooms within the house, which is bigger than The White House, which spans 55,000 square feet.

There's a stunning formal living with two aquariums and a bar, a dining room that can seat 22, a luxe movie theatre with space for 20 guests, a billiard room, a wine cellar, and a gym. The Manor's second storey features 14 bedrooms and the 7,000-square-foot master suite, which has its very own kitchen, living room, and twin closets and bathrooms—of which there are 27 overall.

Amazingly, the home also boasts a beauty salon, a massage parlour, a two-lane bowling alley, and space for 100 cars. Outside, the five-acre estate has a swimming pool, citrus orchard, koi pond, vegetable and rose gardens. In 2016, Petra decided to sell up and listed the place for a staggering $200 million (£156.7m), which made it one of America's most expensive homes ever. The price was eventually dropped to $165 million (£129m) and it finally sold for $121 million (£95m) in 2019 after three years languishing on the market.

Megan Ellison is lucky enough to be the daughter of the seventh-richest man in the world, Larry Ellison, who famously spent $80 million (£63m) on a mansion, only to demolish it. Founder of software giant the Oracle Corporation, Larry is thought to be worth $89.8 billion (£70.4b). Along with her brother David, Megan is set to one day inherit this fortune, but she's already received some funds in advance. In fact, it's reported for her 25th birthday, Larry gave her a cool $200 million (£157m). 

Yet Megan has plenty of funds of her own, too. The film producer and entrepreneur founded Annapurna Pictures in 2011 and has produced smash hit movies including Zero Dark Thirty, House of Gucci and American Hustle, all of which earned Oscar nominations. So it makes perfect sense that Megan might want a tranquil oasis close to Hollywood, where she can relax after a long day on set. Enter this incredible mid-century modern masterpiece in the heart of Beverly Hills.

Megan paid a little under $6.9 million (£5.4m) for the place in mid 2017, but less than a year later she tried to offload it for the same price. After failing to attract a buyer, she instead undertook a huge renovation project to transform the pad into a truly stunning modern home. The work reportedly took two years and once it was complete, Megan sold the home for $11.2 million (£8.8m). 

Clearly every penny Megan spent was worthwhile. Built in 1957, this mid-century marvel is what dream homes are made of. It features elegant, free-flowing living spaces with plenty of period elements, such as terrazzo flooring, teak-clad ceilings, walnut panelled walls, structural beams, oversized sheets of glass, and exposed brick. The house has a light-filled living area, a mahogany kitchen, a dining room, four bedrooms, and four bathrooms.

The master bathroom is utterly gorgeous, thanks to its metal tub, dual showers and vanities. Elsewhere, there's a lovely shaded terrace for lounging, a swimming pool, and several huge walk-in closets. Though he currently works as a financier at JPMorgan, Olivier de Givenchy is the heir to the French luxury fashion and perfume house, Givenchy. The company was founded in 1952 by Olivier’s uncle, Hubert de Givenchy, a man best known for inventing the 'Little Black Dress'. When he passed away in 2018, his net worth was said to be $200 million (£157m), a fortune that will likely one day be Olivier’s. So, how has the financier spent his hard-earned cash?

When you picture a beach house, you might conjure images of a quaint, timber shack by the sea, but there’s nothing modest or kitsch about Olivier de Givenchy’s Californian home. The gorgeous property lies in Malibu's exclusive Point Dume enclave, just moments from the Pacific Ocean, for total Selling Sunset vibes! Yet the pad isn't even Olivier’s full-time home. Upstairs you’ll find the stunning master suite, which comes complete with a vaulted ceiling, sitting area, huge ensuite bathroom and, of course, a VIP-worthy closet, for all of Olivier’s designer threads. Nicola Peltz might be best known for being the star of movies and TV shows like Bates Motel, and for being the wife of Brooklyn Beckham, but the actress and model is also the heiress to the Trian Fund Management fortune. Her father, Nelson Peltz, founded the company and is now worth a cool $1.4 billion (£1b), according to Forbes. Yet Nicola has already amassed her own personal $50 million (£39m) fortune.

In 2021, Nicola and Brooklyn celebrated the one-year anniversary of their engagement by picking up this striking, 7,700-square-foot beauty in Beverly Hills. The pair paid $10.5 million (£8.2m) for the privilege, $1 million (£784k) over the asking price. Built in 2020, the newly-built mansion was crafted “to promote the ultimate wellness lifestyle experience with the highest level of design,” according to the developer.

Lavish and ultra-modern, the mansion comes with breathtaking living spaces with soaring ceilings, walls of glass, and the finest building materials money can buy. The ground floor benefits from an open layout, decorated with exotic woods and natural stone. The living area features a linear fireplace and huge glass doors that flow out to the yard and dining patio, while the luxurious kitchen boasts state-of-the-art appliances, a breakfast nook, and a temperature-controlled wine closet. 

As for billionaire extras, there are plenty. There's a home theatre screened by sliding panes of smoked glass, a dry sauna and steam room, a juice bar, a white crystal quartz massage room, a gym, and a rooftop meditation garden. When she was just 35 years old, Lynsi Snyder became the majority owner of the popular American fast food chain, In-N-Out Burger, gaining herself a $4.2 billion (£3.3b) bank account, according to Forbes. The company was founded in 1948 by Lynsi's grandparents, Harry and Esther Snyder, and in 2000, when she was just 18, Lynsi became the last family heir. 

Since gaining ownership of the business, Lynsi has expanded In-N-Out by more than 80 locations, proving that she's earning every single penny of her inheritance. With her money, Lynsi bought this incredible mansion in the heart of Los Angeles. The 4.16-acre property comes complete with a stunning main residence, a guest house, a six-car garage, a pool cabana, and a recreation centre, so this heiress will never be bored again.

The Mediterranean-inspired property stretches 18,687 square feet and was clearly designed with entertaining in mind. Its huge rooms all seem to flow out to the billionaire backyard, while every interior space is opulent and finished to the highest standards. There's a double-height entrance foyer with a sleek marble floor, numerous living rooms with deluxe European fireplaces, a billiards room, and a movie theatre. The home also has three kitchens!

In total, there are 11 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, but the master suite is definitely the pièce de résistance. The fast food legend snapped up this sprawling estate in 2012, paying $17.2 million (£13.5m). A decade later, she decided to part ways with the pad, listing it in December 2021. Perhaps because of the home's size and price tag, she ended up making a loss on her initial investment, selling the estate for $16.3 million (£12.8m). Not that she will be too upset. The Snyder is celebrating 75 years of the famiy business in October and publishing a book about the company. 

A prominent philanthropist, Ariadne Getty has given her life to supporting LGBT and women's rights, as well as fighting climate change, making most of her financial contributions to GLAAD and the United Nations foundation. Yet Ariadne is also the heiress to the Getty Oil Company, since she is the granddaughter of oil tycoon, J. Paul Getty, who was once the world’s richest man. The family as a whole is estimated to be worth $5.4 billion (£4.2b), a sum that Ariadne will likely one day call her own.

In the summer of 2022, Ariadne added this gorgeous Spanish Colonial Revival estate to her bulging property portfolio. The philanthropist is said to own three other impressive homes in Los Angeles, including a $15 million (£11.8m) condo in Beverly Hills, a modern Studio City house, and a huge Toluca Lake mansion that she bought from Miley Cyrus. Yet this pad, which was constructed in 1930, might be Ariadne's finest purchase yet.

The magnificent estate can be found on a tree-lined street in the Loz Feliz hills area of LA and was designed by renowned architect, Gene Verge. Ariadne forked out a little less than $7 million (£5.5m) to get her hands on the place, which stretches up three floors and offers 5,604 square feet of inside space. While it’s been modernised in recent years, the property still benefits from plenty of original details, including arched doorways, colourful tilework, and striking statement ceilings.

The front door opens into a huge foyer, while an arched doorway leads to the formal living room. There’s also a wood-panelled library, a tiled wet bar, a formal dining room, a modern eat-in kitchen, a home office, five bedrooms, and six bathrooms. As for billionaire bling? Well, there’s a plush screening room, a gym, and a soundproofed recording studio with a professional isolation booth and control room. 

Outside, Ariadne can also enjoy access to a private garden, complete with a swimming pool, sunbathing deck, and a great lawn—perfect for making the most of California's enviable climate. Ariadne isn't the only heir to have owned the pad, either. The house sold for $6.9 million (£5.4m) in 2016 to Tim Disney, the grand-nephew of Walt Disney and son of the late billionaire, Roy E Disney. Talk about a house with celebrity pedigree!

When he passed away in 1988, his net worth was said to be $4 billion (£3.1b), a sum that his daughter, Nicole Ross Eloff, likely inherited. Nicole Ross Eloff acquired the property in 2017 for $3.9 million (£3m), but the existing house was custom-built in 2018, meaning she likely knocked down what was already there in order to self-build a bespoke home. The pad lies in Amagansett, East Hampton, one of the most sought-after zip codes in the US. While the home's exterior is striking and inviting, the interior is a showcase of contemporary design. Paris Hilton may be the great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, the founder of Hilton Hotels, but she's also a self-made millionaire. The media personality, businesswoman, model and DJ rose to fame in 2003, when she starred alongside Nicole Richie in reality TV show, The Simple Life. But today she's thought to have made $4 billion (£3.1b) in revenue from her beauty line, showing that she doesn't need to inherit the Hilton empire's reported $32.5 billion (£25.5b) bank account...

With her enormous earnings, Paris has bought an array of amazing homes, including a gated residence in LA’s Mulholland Estates that she picked up in 2007 and a penthouse apartment in central Manhattan, New York City. Yet perhaps the socialite's most enviable property is her newly acquired beach house in Malibu, where many other celebrity homes can be found, including the former pad of Friends star, Matthew Perry.

Paris and her husband, Carter Reum, paid $8.4 million (£6.6m) for the property in August 2021, just three months before they tied the knot at the former Bel Air estate of Paris' late grandfather, Barron Hilton, the successor of Conrad Hilton. The 2,968-square-foot house was built in 1955, but thanks to a recent renovation it's now perfectly modern. It sits right on the sand of La Costa Beach and comes equipped with an open-plan living zone, three bedrooms, and three bathrooms.

Yet that isn't all. There's also a lovely private courtyard with its very own yoga room and a stylish home office. The owner’s suite is pretty amazing, too. It has a spa-like bathroom and two oceanfront balconies, equipped with a hot tub. As for décor, the property is neutral and minimalist, allowing the coastal scenery to take centre stage. It's clear the couple moved in pretty quickly, because, in August 2021, Paris filmed a promo video for her Netflix show, Cooking With Paris, in the home’s kitchen. 

Floor-to-ceiling glass doors open up the interior to the home's staggered ocean-front decks, too. The heiress announced the birth of her son Phoenix Barron Hilton Reum, reportedly born by surrogate, in January 2023. So she will appreciate the al fresco lifestyle, complete with an outdoor kitchen and shower, as well as a private staircase that leads straight to the beach below. If only we had a billion-dollar inheritance coming our way..
