Inside the homes of Australia’s biggest stars
The real-life homes of our favourite Aussies

Australians have been making their mark on the entertainment industry for decades. Whether it’s Kylie Minogue, the highest-selling Australian-born solo artist of all time, or Rebel Wilson, an MTV Movie Award and Teen Choice Awards winner, the so-called 'Aussie invasion' is still a thing.
Some of these stars have stayed true to their roots, buying homes down under, while others have moved on. But they all have some pretty cool real estate reflecting their huge success.

Kylie Minogue

Kylie Minogue has come a long way since she made her name on Neighbours.
Having sold over 80 million records worldwide, including hits such as 'I Should Be So Lucky' and 'The Loco-Motion', she is the highest-selling female Australian artist ever. She has received accolades including three Brit awards, two MTV awards, a Grammy and an OBE.
She is also a shrewd businesswoman, with a net worth estimated at £92.6 million (AU$191.4m/$120m).

These days, the so-called 'Pop Princess' can live wherever she chooses.
She lived in London for over three decades, before confirming to the BBC in 2021 that she was moving back to Australia. She is reported to have bought a £4 million (AU$8m/$5m) house close to her parents and sister Dannii in Melbourne.
The 'Padam Padam' singer had some pretty cool homes down under in the past too, like this secluded eco-retreat located just 30 minutes from the popular coastal town of Byron Bay.

If the expansive 71-acre (28 ha) property looks familiar, it’s because it featured in her popular 2019 Tourism Australia campaign.
The singer was filmed relaxing on this very same terrace, taking in the breathtaking views from the Nightcap Ranges to Cape Byron Lighthouse and beyond.

The beautiful four-bedroom home, located in Coorabell, was designed by renowned architect Sam Zaher, and features spacious living spaces which seamlessly transition from indoors to outdoors across multiple terraces.
Stunning floor-to-ceiling windows capture the spectacular outlook, while French oak floors throughout create continuity and harmony.

Designed to leave a minimal footprint on its pristine environment, the eco-home runs off the grid, and has its own solar energy, automated generator, water storage and dam.
It also features this spectacular freshwater infinity pool with breathtaking 270º views.
The heavenly retreat appears to have been updated since Kylie was in residence, and was listed with McGrath real estate for £4.8 million (AU$10m/$6.3m) in April 2025.
Hugh Jackman

Celebrated for his blockbuster movies, which include The Greatest Showman, Les Misérables and his portrayal of Wolverine in the X-Men franchise, Hugh Jackman is said to be worth around £77 million (AU$204m/$100 million).
Known for his long and happy marriage to Deborrah-Lee Furness, the couple announced their separation in September 2023 after 27 years. The couple have two adopted children.
Jackman was reported to be in a relationship with his Broadway co-star Sutton Foster in January 2025.
Hugh Jackman's Manhattan penthouse

A year before announcing their separation, the actor paid £17.7 million (AU$36.4m/$22.1m) for a penthouse in New York City's 100 Eleventh Avenue complex, a glittering Manhattan tower designed by architectural great Jean Nouvel.
The purchase in August 2022 came two months after the then couple listed their long-time triplex apartment in the city's West Village, which had been one of their primary residences since 2008.

Pictured here in a video tour by global realtor Douglas Elliman, Jackman's penthouse is a bright and airy oasis floating above the commotion of the city below.
The interior is lined with 14-foot-high (4.3m) windows that offer stunning views over the Hudson River and the Big Apple's iconic skyline.
The home encompasses a full floor of the tower and includes a private elevator that emerges in the heart of the open-plan living area – a plus, no doubt, for the security-conscious star.

The living spaces are pared back and minimalist, with clean white walls punctuated with vibrant artwork and panoramic city views.
Spanning a total of 4,675 square feet (434sqm), the penthouse has three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms.
The apartment includes an eat-in kitchen with a breakfast bar overlooking the water below, a library, plus a coveted roof terrace with an outdoor kitchen and dining area.

In addition to the guest bedroom (pictured), there is a secluded bedroom suite located at the far end of the penthouse away from the shared living areas. It features a luxurious, spa-style bathroom and a large dressing room lined with built-in storage.
High-end amenities are found throughout the building. Residents of 100 Eleventh Avenue have access to a cinema room, gym, sauna and a 70-foot (21m) indoor-outdoor lap pool, plus concierge services and a 24-hour doorman.
Chris Hemsworth

Beginning his career on TV soap Home And Away, Australian actor Chris Hemsworth rapidly rose to A-list status after landing a role in 2009's big screen reboot of Star Trek.
In 2011, he was cast as Thor, the Norse God of Thunder, whose role is to protect his homeland, Asgard, a role he played in the Thor movies, as well as numerous Avengers instalments and Doctor Strange.
The Melbourne-born actor is now worth a cool £100 million (AU$208m/$130m).
Chris Hemsworth’s Malibu retreat

In 2015, the actor joined forces with his brothers Luke and Liam Hemsworth, who are also actors, to buy this spectacular Malibu retreat. The trio paid just under £2.7 million (AU$5.6m/$3.5m) for the place, which is surrounded by the dramatic Santa Monica Mountains.
Perfect for hosting A-listers, the house benefits from light-filled living spaces and plenty of outdoor lounges, all with views across the Pacific Ocean.

Despite being built in 1979, the home is ultra-modern inside. Light, bright, and open-plan, the 4,612-square-foot (428 sqm) residence has a large living area, with a dining zone, a chef’s kitchen and polished concrete floors, as well as four bedrooms and four bathrooms.
Blending contemporary design with traditional architectural elements, it’s been the ideal retreat for Hemsworth and his wife, Spanish model and actor Elsa Pataky, and their three children.

Other highlights include the home’s 750-bottle, temperature-controlled wine cellar, state-of-the-art movie theatre, and exterior decks for al fresco dining.
Hemsworth doesn't mind sharing the pad with his brothers as his main home is a £15 million (AU$32m/$20m) mega mansion in Byron Bay in Australia, which has six bedrooms and a rooftop infinity pool.

The master bedroom boasts a luxurious bathroom with a spa bath, steam shower and Calcutta gold marble fixtures, with a sauna located in a tiny wooden hut just outside.
Despite the trimmings, the Hemsworth brothers sold the compound in 2021 for almost £3.3 million (AU$ 6.8M/$4.3M). According to Realtor, the trio 'made a few improvements' during their four years of ownership, so it may be that the brothers bought it as an investment property.
Olivia Newton-John

Probably best remembered for playing Sandy opposite John Travolta in the iconic 1978 film Grease, the late Olivia Newton-John, who died from cancer aged 73 in August 2022, was a four-time Grammy winner. She sold over 100 million records.
The British-born singer of hits including ‘You’re the One that I Want’ and ‘Physical’ owned properties in Santa Ynez, California, as well as an estate in Malibu, but was most at home in the sprawling ranch in New South Wales where she lived for nearly four decades.

The much-loved singer bought the 187-acre (76ha) farm near Byron Bay in the early 80s after becoming a superstar following the success of Grease.
Surrounded by an ancient rainforest and the stunning landscapes of Victoria Park Nature Reserve, the singer is said to have planted more than 10,000 trees on the ranch over the years.

The estate’s French country-style home is as stunning as its grounds, offering four bedrooms, a massive farm kitchen and pantry, dining room, and several reception rooms, including this stunning living room with its exposed beams, rustic stone fireplace, and natural pine floors.
The actor renovated the home in 2002 and decorated some of the walls with shells and pebbles that she collected from nearby beaches.

First diagnosed with cancer in 1992, Newton-John went on to become a leading advocate of cancer research. Her charity, the Olivia Newton-John Foundation, raised millions to support research.
Her tranquil ranch home became a welcome retreat for the star during her many years of illness. Her former bedroom, which had a four-poster bed and a walk-out balcony with uplifting views, was no doubt a place of refuge for the actress.

Despite the farm’s breathtaking scenery, which features a natural waterfall, two dams, this beautiful pond and a creek that runs through the property, Newton-John placed it on the market in 2019 for £2.7 million (AU$5.5m/$3.5m).
The actress explained she spent more time at Gaia, the swanky retreat and spa she co-founded in 2005, about 30 minutes away.
Russell Crowe

While actor Russell Crowe was born in New Zealand, he moved to Australia when he was just four years old. He won a Best Actor Oscar for Gladiator in 2000 and is considered one of Hollywood’s greatest actors.
In Australia, he’s a national treasure and even appeared on a postage stamp. And with a net worth of around £92.6 million (AU$191m/$120m), he has been the proud owner of some pretty palatial properties in his time too!

One of his finest was Berthong mansion in Elizabeth Bay, eastern Sydney, seen here in images from a video tour of the property. The home is considered one of the country's most distinguished trophy homes.
The Les Misérables actor bought the waterfront residence from media mogul Rupert Murdoch in 2001 for £4.5 million (AU$9.2m/$5.8m), selling it for £5.6 million (AU$11.5m/$7.2m) two years later.
The mansion, which has a rich cultural legacy and several previous famous owners, sits alongside another iconic Sydney home, Boomerang House.

The five-bedroom property was built in 1886 as a college for women, which it remained until music publisher Frank Albert purchased it in 1936 and turned it into a home.
Over the years, the house has benefited from extensive renovation work to bring it firmly into the 21st century, while retaining charming historic features such as its elegant fireplaces and a spacious colonial-style balcony that frames the house.

Thoughtful, design-led details can be spotted throughout, from the intricate stained-glass window in the dining room to the Calacatta marble kitchen, complete with butler's pantry.
Signs of craftsmanship are also evident in the ornate cornices, slate roof and colonnade of arched windows. Crowe sold the property to lawyer Peter Ziegler in 2003, so he could move into his Woolloomooloo penthouse.

As well as the remarkable interior, the property boasts glorious gardens featuring a sandstone terrace and waterside pool set against harbour views that span from the Garden Island naval base to Clark Island.
No surprise, then, that when the property hit the market in 2016, it was expected to fetch around £18 million (AU$37m/$23.3m).
Meanwhile, Crowe, who was reported to be marrying his fiancée Britney Theriot in Rome in 2025, splits his time between his Sydney pad and his rural estate in Nana Glen near Coffs Harbour.
Rebel Wilson

With a glittering career that's seen her go from Australian TV shows to Hollywood blockbusters, including Bridesmaids and Pitch Perfect, Rebel Wilson is quite the trailblazer.
She lost more than 80 lbs in weight in a bid to become a mother and announced the birth of her first child by surrogate in November 2022.
In February 2023, she shared news of her engagement to entrepreneur Ramona Agruma on Instagram, so she was looking for the ultimate family home.
Rebel Wilson’s New York City apartment

The Workaholics star, who has a net worth of around £17 million (AU$34.9m/$22m) and counting, has invested her money in several homes in both Hollywood and her native Australia.
In 2017, after wrapping up her time on the Pitch Perfect movie franchise and winning MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance, plus a Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Actress, the award-winning star purchased an apartment in New York City for just under £2.3 million (AU$4.8M/$3M).
Known as 443 Greenwich, the building is known for its high-status residents.
Rebel Wilson’s New York City apartment

The brand new stylish two-bedroom unit sits in the popular Tribeca area of Manhattan, with A-list neighbours including Harry Styles, Jennifer Lawrence, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.
The seven-storey building was originally constructed in 1883 as a warehouse for a book bindery company. It was completely gutted and renovated in 2014 to serve as an exclusive apartment block, and features arched windows and exposed beams.
This particular complex is very celebrity-friendly, with 24-hour doorman and concierge services, underground garage and state-of-the-art security systems. No wonder it's so popular with celebrities.

The interiors of the building have been renovated by interior masters Cetra Ruddy with as much care as the exterior, making the most of the volume and scale of the building.
Repurposed original materials, such as bronze door pulls, and custom metal strap detailing along the kitchen island allude to the former industrial building, while adapting to contemporary living.

Rebel's Tribeca apartment building also has a 71-foot (21.6m) indoor swimming pool, 5,000-square-foot (464 sqm) landscaped roof terrace, a secluded courtyard, as well as a seriously stylish lobby area, with exposed brickwork and iron rafters, which set the tone for the rest of the building.
Wilson reportedly bought the New York home under the LLC The Blue Bay Trust, which she also used to buy her two properties in LA.
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban

Hollywood power couple Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban married in 2006 and they are still going strong.
The star of Moulin Rouge, The Others and The Hours (for which she won an Oscar) is one of Australia’s most successful actors, while her country singer husband has won four Grammys and sold more than 15 million albums.
With a joint worth of around £248 million (AU$512m/$320m), it's no wonder that they have dabbled in real estate.
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's Southern Highlands' farm

The couple own a mansion in Nashville, as well as several luxury apartments in North Sydney’s exclusive Latitude building, but it’s their sprawling 111-acre (45 ha) estate in the Southern Highlands in New South Wales, which they consider home.
The pair bought Bunya Hill Farm, a black Angus cattle stud at Sutton Forest for £3.1 million (AU$6.5m/$4m) in 2008.
At its centre is a 1878 Georgian mansion and a separate guest cottage.

Kidman is usually fiercely protective of her privacy, but gave a tour of the idyllic farmhouse in 2015 for a video by Vogue, where she answered 73 rapid-fire questions.
The Eyes Wide Shut actress welcomes the magazine on her porch, which is flanked by a beautiful, wide sandstone veranda.
Inside, traditional period features include pressed metal ceilings, a grand carved cedar staircase and ten original fireplaces, including this one in the kitchen/dining area, where her children’s toys are piled up on either side of the wood-panelled fireplace.

The house boasts proportions and details that make it worthy to be leased as a vice-regal rural retreat for Lord Augustus Loftus, a governor of NSW in the colonial 1880s.
Since they moved in, the couple have made extensive renovations, installing a 59-foot (18m) swimming pool, a gym and tennis court, while conserving the original style and architecture of the house itself, which is clear to see in this image of the actress in the home’s library.

In another scene to camera, the actress perches on the arm of a cream sofa in one of several reception rooms, which features an exquisite marble fireplace, grand piano and a neutral palette bathed in the sunlight streaming through the large windows.
Viewers are also invited into the guest cottage, where the actress grabs a basket and heads outside to the chicken house to collect eggs.
The home is surrounded by trees and grass mounds to block out prying eyes, plus the couple built a gatehouse with security guards in 2023 for extra privacy.
Holly Valance and Nick Candy

It’s no surprise that Nick Candy and Holly Valance own some pretty impressive real estate. With his brother Christian, the property tycoon is behind the One Hyde Park development in London's Knightsbridge, and Nick unsuccessfully tried to buy Chelsea football club in 2022.
Said to be worth £1.5 billion (AU$3.2bn/$2bn), the British entrepreneur married former Neighbours star and pop princess Holly Valance in 2012, and the couple have two children.

Regular faces on the London social scene, Nick and Holly live between London, Monaco and the Cotswolds, where they splashed out £10 million (AU$20.6m/$13m) on a Grade II-listed mansion in 2021 near Soho Farmhouse, where Prince Harry courted Meghan.
But they met and married in Los Angeles, where they owned this lavish Hollywood mansion in the Holmby Hills area, which they listed for a staggering £66 million (AU$135m/$85m) in 2022.

Also known as "The Reserve", the sprawling 21,000 square-foot (1951 sqm) Californian property is among the city’s finest examples of 1950s modernist architecture and features ten bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, a striking kitchen, and a guest house.
In 2021 the pair listed their penthouse in One Hyde Park for £175 million (AU$361.5m/$226m), making it Britain’s most expensive apartment, but this house wasn't so lucrative as we will find out later...

On a street where, according to Bloomberg, celebrities Frank Sinatra, Audrey Hepburn and designer Tom Ford are said to have resided, the home features a 1920s French Regency-style 12-seater cinema, a study, an Art Deco Hollywood-inspired bar and a wine room.
There are also lush grounds, a swimming pool, a tennis court, alfresco dining areas and seven vintage water features and fountains.
The house was formerly owned by Nick's brother, Christian, who sold it to Nick and Holly in 2018.

The master bedroom has a super-luxe ensuite marble master bathroom, surrounded by Crittal-style windows which flood the space with light and views of the lush forestation outside.
Surprisingly, the house was still on the market three years later in 2025 with a significant price cut at £50.2 million (AU$102.6m/$65m). It doesn't appear to have held Candy back, however, who is said to have donated a "seven-figure sum" to the British Reform Party and was appointed their treasurer in December 2024.
Jacob Elordi

Though best known for Netflix series The Kissing Booth and Euphoria, Brisbane-born Jacob Elordi earned critical acclaim for his role as Elvis Presley in Priscilla and as aristocratic Felix Catton in Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn.
The British director went on to cast him as Heathcliff in Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights opposite Margot Robbie as Cathy, so the future looks bright for the six-foot-four (1.96m) actor.
Life wasn’t always as plain sailing for the teen heartthrob however. He ended up living out of his car and on friends’ couches when he first moved to Los Angeles in 2017, but is sitting pretty in his very own home these days…
Jacob Elordi’s pad beneath the Hollywood sign

While the actor owns a home near Byron Bay in his native Australia, he spends most of his time at his pad in Los Angeles.
Perched on a hillside beneath the Hollywood sign, the view from his cosy pad is a constant reminder that he has made it big in the 'city of stars'.
“I used to live in a tiny apartment in the back of the valley, and I would see these houses and I’d be like, ‘Man, who lives there, underneath the Hollywood sign?’” he said to the magazine Pop Sugar.

The actor shared a glimpse of his modest home when he invited Vogue in for a visit in 2022. The tour revealed a home brimming with original artworks, including in his living room, which featured a Japanese Rebel Without a Cause movie poster, which he lists as a prized possession.
Various vintage cameras and books sit atop a coffee table, while an old-fashioned record player is placed alongside some soundtrack records from Easy Rider and other films.
Jacob Elordi’s pad beneath the Hollywood sign

Elordi admits he is a bit of a coffee fan and wastes no time in the video to prepare a brew on his state-of-the-art coffee maker.
His modern kitchen is pared back and simple, with a clean white colour scheme and light stone countertops.
The actor also has a Himalayan salt lamp, which gives off a lovely warm glow and is said to have therapeutic properties.

Moving outside, the pool is surrounded by trees and potted plants, and there's a bistro table and chairs where he can have lunch al fresco.
Elordi shares the house with his golden retriever, Layla, who can just be seen behind the sun lounger in this image. The base is perfect for the actor who has some exciting new film roles as the monster in Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein and Heathcliff in Emerald Fennell's adaptation of Wuthering Heights.
Elle Macpherson

Born in Killara, New South Wales, supermodel Elle Macpherson burst onto the modelling scene in the 1980s, appearing on a record number of cover shoots for Sports Illustrated magazine and earning the moniker 'The Body' from Time Magazine in 1989.
Since then, she has appeared on the TV show Friends as Joey’s roommate and has proved herself an astute businesswoman, founding her wellness brand WelleCo in 2014 and hosting Britain’s Next Top Model.
Elle Macpherson’s Miami mansion

The entrepreneur also has an eye for a beautiful property and snapped up this two-storey Normandy-inspired home in Coral Gables, near Miami, Florida (where neighbours include fellow A-listers like Jennifer Lopez) for £5.5 million (AU$11m/$6.9m) in 2018.
Four years later, she placed it on the market for £19.4 million (AU$40m/$25.1m). The residence was designed by architect Chad Oppenheim and built in 2017.
Elle Macpherson’s Miami mansion

Macpherson worked with architecture and interior design firm Sawyer Berson to transform the Coral Gables villa into an impressive space where she could display her extensive art collection, which includes works by Jean-Michel Basquiat and Richard Prince.
“I’ve had a passion for art since I was a student, and I have met everyone from Warhol to Joseph Kosuth to Keith Haring and Tracey Emin,” she told Architectural Digest.
Elle Macpherson’s Miami mansion

The palatial home, seen here in a Lourdes Alatriste real estate video, boasts six bedrooms, including a master suite with walk-in wardrobes, six bathrooms and the essential powder room for any self-respecting supermodel.
The property also features a spectacular staircase, a professional kitchen and a large, minimal dining room, with understated furniture, where the star has entertained her famous friends.
“I wanted the house to feel effortless, eclectic, and fun, with no pretension,” she says during the tour.

Outside, the magnificent grounds total 1.7 acres (0.7 ha) of manicured gardens designed by Swiss landscape architect Enzo Enea and feature this large saltwater swimming pool and a relaxing lounge area shaded by established oak trees. Bliss!
The model, who has two sons with financier Arpad Busson, has been mainly based in London these days. In 2024, she announced she was in remission from breast cancer, after having been diagnosed seven years previously, despite refusing chemotherapy.
