This eye-wateringly shiny toilet is made of solid gold, and was designed by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan. Originally the golden WC was reportedly installed at the Guggenheim Museum in New York. While president, the 18-karat latrine was offered to gold lover Donald Trump after declining his request to borrow Vincent Van Gogh’s 'Landscape with Snow' for the White House. Interestingly enough, Trump turned the gilded potty down. In 2019, the artwork, so-called ‘America’, was moved to Winston Churchill’s birthplace in Blenheim Palace, where it was shockingly stolen. Three years later the culprits have still not been found and the mystery of the $4.8 million (£4m) toilet goes on...
Mike Tyson's super-luxe abandoned bathroom, Ohio, USA

This next (once) lavish bathroom is found within former heavyweight boxer, Mike Tyson’s controversy-ridden (and some say cursed) mansion in Southington, Ohio. While the five-bedroom manse is brimming with luxury features such as plentiful marble, crystal and this bathtub reportedly worth $2 million (£1.6m) and even Tyson's escaped Bengal tiger, there’s no escaping the fact that three of its owners all ended up in jail. Hopefully to dispel its ‘cursed’ history, the abandoned building is now a place of worship having been passed on to the Living Word Sanctuary Church in 2014.
