Amid much talk about Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne moving back to Britain due to the Black Sabbath frontman’s battle with Parkinson's disease, the pair are selling their West Hollywood condo which they bought for $4 million (£3.2m) nine years ago and have listed for just under $4.8 million (£3.8m). The pad is located on the 10th floor of a celeb-filled skyscraper, where former residents include Cher, Adam Sandler and Matthew Perry.

Mainly occupied by the couple’s daughter Kelly, the two-bedroom, three-bathroom home spans 2,100 square feet and features an open-plan living room and dining room with a small private balcony and stone floors throughout, while floor-to-ceiling windows provide sweeping city views. The pad has been rented out for the past couple of years, according to Hello! for around $20,000 (£16k) per month.

It is likely that Kelly had a hand in the redecoration too to judge by this cute pink-themed space. The star once said on her Instagram: “Pink has always been a signature part of my look.” And she seems to have had some fun here in this third bedroom which has been converted into a study. Meanwhile, Kelly now lives in a two-bedroom property in Los Feliz, a former home of Rooney Mara.

There are still echoes of the TV star in the walk-in wardrobe, however. The closet is part of the spacious master suite which boasts a ceiling painted with a mural of a cloudy blue sky,  as well as a private balcony and spa-inspired bathroom equipped dual vanities and a soaking tub. Sharon and Ozzy needn’t be too distressed to let the pad go, however, as they still own a one-bedroom unit next door!

The couple also owns a long-time Grade II-listed Buckinghamshire estate, nestled deep within the British countryside, so it's the ideal place for the couple to retreat to. The red brick, two-storey home which the pair have owned since 1993, resides within a national historic location and dates back to the 1800s. With talks of a move back to the UK, according to The Sun their British base is set to undergo some renovations and will feature a new 'rehab wing' to help the star with his ongoing health battle.

Everyone needs to get away from it all every now and then and Bret Michaels, long-time frontman of the 1980s glam rock band Poison is no exception. The heavy-metal musician and reality TV star has paid nearly $5.5 million (£4.4m) in cash for this ranch-style residence in a gated vacation community in Westlake Village on the outskirts of Los Angeles so he can kick back and enjoy his free time away from the city.

The single-storey home has more than 5,400 square feet of living space, including five bedrooms, six bathrooms and an open-plan living/dining area, with dark hardwood floors, high ceilings and designer light fixtures throughout. And as if the marble-clad entrance hall isn’t enough, there’s a stunning glass-fronted wine room guarded by eye-catching sculptures reminiscent of Giacometti’s walking figures.  

A sleek kitchen, with an eat-in island and high-end stainless steel appliances overlook a spacious family area with a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace for a relaxing evening indoors, while expansive glass doors open on to a covered terrace which is ideal for alfresco entertaining. Michael’s main home is a Calabasas pad he bought in 2020 but he will no doubt appreciate the calm of this LA suburb.

The real deal is outside however, where there’s no end of things to do including a very large pool with a Baja shelf for some serious sunbathing and a fire feature for when the sun goes down. There are ample lounging areas including a patio with a firepit and built-in barbecue station, and even a full-sized basketball court. Michaels sold another Westlake Village property in 2020. With these amenities, no wonder he moved back!

Imagine the parties that must have taken place in this Calabasas mansion, which has been the long-time home of hell-raising Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee. The rocker forked out $5.8 million (£4.6m) for the six-bedroom, eight-bathroom villa back in 2007.

Lee put the property on the market in 2016 with an asking price of $6 million (£4.8m), but failed to find a buyer and ended up re-listing the villa in 2018 for the (relatively) bargain sum of $4.6 million (£3.7m), significantly less than what he originally paid. It was then placed back on the market in September 2022. In April 2023 it finally sold for just shy of $3.7 million (£2.9m).

The décor is undeniably awesome but an acquired taste all the same, which may explain why the property was so tough to sell. The master bedroom, for instance, is peak rock star with its black walls, copious animal print, multiple Chinese lanterns and oversized mirrors. However, the rock star's wife, Brittany Furlan, insists that a phantom is haunting the home according to the New York Post, so perhaps prospective buyers are picking up on its paranormal vibes...

Known for rocking out in bands such as Crowded House and Fleetwood Mac, celebrated New Zealand singer-songwriter Neil Finn and his wife, Sharon, snapped up this gorgeous 1922 Colonial property in March 2020. Splashing out $4.3 million (£3.5m) on the Los Feliz gated residence, the pair ended up selling it to another famous couple just two years later...

Sitting on nearly a quarter-acre of land in the sunny Los Feliz area of Los Angeles, California, Finn’s former home is the perfect getaway for a famous rock star. Fully walled and gated with plenty of surrounding greenery to maintain privacy, inside, the four-bedroom house boasts almost 4,340 square feet spread across two levels, with an array of original architectural details throughout.

On the main level, the Crowded House musician’s love of books is evident. The deep blue family room proudly displays a wall of bookshelves that wrap around the doorway. There's also access to the gourmet kitchen, complete with an eat-in island, high-end stainless appliances and an adjacent butler’s pantry. But which celebrity pair have snapped up the Finns' former home?

The primary suite upstairs boasts a fireplace clad in Calacatta marble and a luxury bath with a spa tub and dual vanities, and you’ll find even more space to relax outside. Framed by a wall of mature trees, the outdoor pool and spa sit next to a fireside seating area and guesthouse, ideal for VIP visitors to stay. Rock singer and songwriter Jon Bon Jovi went all the way and listed his luxury Greenwich Village condo for a cool $22 million (£17.7m) recently. The star aimed to make a $3 million (£2.4m) profit since he reportedly bought the 4,000-square-foot NYC apartment in 2017 for just under $19 million (£15.2m).

Taking an elevator to the high-rise apartment, you are welcomed into a private vestibule beckoning you into the 40-foot living room, with floor-to-ceiling windows, an eat-in kitchen and a Juliette balcony giving panoramic views over the city that never sleeps. What might look like foam soundproofing on the wall, which is handy for a rock star, is actually geometric print wallpaper to match the mid-century design throughout.

One of four bedrooms awaits, boasting refinished wide-plank hardwood floors and floor-to-ceiling windows for more of New York City's twinkling vistas. Def Leppard frontman, Joe Elliott can rock out to his heart’s content on the sixth floor of this West Hollywood high-rise after purchasing a three-bedroom condo for $2.3 million (£1.8m) in July 2021. While Dirt reports that the 80s rocker also owns a three-acre home on the outskirts of Dublin, here he can enjoy panoramic vistas of LA from his south-facing balcony.

Stretching across over 1,700 square feet of light-filled interior space, the newly renovated condo features white oak herringbone floors and floor-to-ceiling windows throughout. The dining area and chic eat-in kitchen have been kitted out with luxury Miele appliances complete with a must-have wine refrigerator.

There are three bedrooms, including the sunny master suite which comes fitted with a large closet and marble-adorned ensuite bathroom. Here the star can recover from stadium-filling concerts in the oval soaking tub and walk-in shower.

Large glass sliding doors in the living room area lead out onto a south-facing balcony. The luxury apartment also boasts a 24-hour concierge, valet parking, pool, gym and residents’ lounge. 

We love snooping around the homes of iconic musicians and KISS star, Gene Simmons, has one of the finest. Purchased for just shy of $1.4 million (£1.1m), the star snapped up his home in 1987, according to Robb Report, and went on to spend $11 million (£8.8m) sprucing it up into the home that stands today. Completed in 2000, the dramatic exterior leads through to a glamorous, traditional-style home. 

Spread over four floors with 13,405 square feet of space, the luxury home boasts a living room that sits in the centre of the home, with two wings on either side. With wide-plank wood flooring and stunning woodwork, the space is a work of art with its tall arched windows that lead out to the two acres of manicured lawns, tennis courts and swimming pool according to the Compass listing.

Informal and formal dining rooms mean that entertaining is easy and with help of the mannequin butler, it would make for a seamless evening.  Elsewhere there's a bar, a great room, an office and a two-storey hallway to greet guests. First on the market in October 2020 for $22 million (£17.7m), the rock legend relisted the home in March 2021 for $25 million (£20m) after replacing some electrics and swapping wood for poured concrete, and also adding new foliage. 

Boasting seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, the master bedroom is the pinnacle of luxury with its own sitting room and spa-inspired bathroom. According to TMZ he finally sold the pad in 2021 to Max Nobel of Nobel Development Group after dropping the price to $16 million (£12.8m). Fast-forward two years and following a massive refurbishment, the property hit the market again in May 2023 for a staggering $48 million (£38.6m) according to the Daily Mail. Now that's what we call a hike in price!

When he isn't on stage performing with The Rolling Stones, Mick Jagger spends his time relaxing in his $2 million (£1.6m) Florida home. Located in Sarasota, the rock star reportedly purchased the home for girlfriend Melanie Hamrick in 2020. With stunning living spaces, including a library with coffered ceilings and arched windows, it must have been the perfect place for him to unwind after the band's much-anticipated 13-date, 'No Filter' tour.

Should the 79-year-old want to entertain family and friends, the kitchen is the perfect spot with its oversized granite island and walk-in pantry. With four bedrooms and six bathrooms, it also makes the perfect family home for the star and his long-time partner, ballet dancer Melanie Hamrick, and their son, Deveraux, who turned six in December 2022, away from the limelight. 

After having heart surgery in 2019, it seems that the star is finally ready to make his home his sanctuary, and with dramatic high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room, formal dining space and lake views, it's the perfect place. Many of the public rooms in the 5,700-square-foot home open out to the small but idyllic back garden. 

Multiple outdoor rooms are scattered throughout the property, which include a full summer kitchen, fireplaces, a new outside pool and spa and covered outdoor areas for dining. As well as all this, Mick and his family will also have access to a private clubhouse, tennis courts and a fitness centre. 

Coldplay frontman, Chris Martin snapped up a brand new residence with his long-term girlfriend, Fifty Shades of Grey actor, Dakota Johnson. The couple purchased their first property together back in October 2020, paying a cool $12.5 million (£10m) for the privilege.

The luxurious modern farmhouse was built in 2008 and once belonged to the American businessman and film financier, Ryan Kavanaugh. Located in the sought-after city of Malibu, California, the palatial pad extends 5,338 square feet and comes complete with stunning living areas, five bedrooms and five bathrooms. 

Inside, you'll find light-filled and contemporary living areas, with plenty of traditional appeal. There's a double-height lounge, a chic dining room and a luxurious kitchen kitted out with a walk-in pantry, copper counters and open shelving. Elsewhere, you'll find a cosy family room, a library, a screening room and a stunning master suite with a vaulted ceiling, ocean-view terrace and marble bathroom, perfect for a VIP couple!

Of course, there are plenty of exterior spaces for soaking up the sunshine. As well as balconies and patios, there's also a pool, spa and shaded pergola. Yet, just over a year later he sold the pad for $14.4 million (£11.6m) and picked up another for $14 million in the area (£11.2m). Martin "consciously uncoupled" from Gwyneth Paltrow in 2014 and since then he's owned an array of homes in this exclusive coastal city. He also owned a 1970s gem with Paltrow, but the home never quite met his expectations and the Coldplay frontman applied for permission to tear down the house in 2019. In November 2022 it was controversially demolished, with plans to build a new residence.

This impressive historic home in Miami Beach, Florida, was purchased by Genesis drummer and frontman Phil Collins in 2015, when he paid $33 million (£26.5m) for the stunning mansion. Dating back to 1929, the beautiful waterfront estate offers a 11,039-square-foot interior, a huge garden and skyline views across glistening Biscayne Bay.

The pricey celebrity pad sits on a 1.2-acre lot behind a long, gated driveway surrounded by palm trees. The charming Mediterranean-inspired residence features oversized living spaces decorated with 150-year-old reclaimed hardwood, arched windows, rotund ceilings and ancient wood beams. There's a light-filled family room with floor-to-ceiling windows and a chic dining area where Collins, who retired from performing in March 2022, hosted plenty of VIP friends.

Elsewhere, you'll find a huge kitchen with white marble counters and chef-grade appliances, as well as a stunning master suite that offers unobstructed views across the water beyond. There are six bedrooms and eight bathrooms in total, making this the perfect pad for entertaining. Outside, there's a billionaire backyard, complete with a meditative garden, a 6,000-gallon koi pond, swimming pool, spa and soccer pitch.

Yet Collins isn't the only VIP owner of this pad. In fact, the property was formerly owned by none other than Jennifer Lopez. She reportedly purchased the property in the early aughts, before selling up in 2005 for $13.9 million (£11.2m). In February 2021, Collins also waved goodbye to the estate, this time for $39.3 million (£31.7m) – how's that for property appreciation?

Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash bought this seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom Beverly Hills party pad with his ex-wife Perla Hudson in 2009, paying a hefty $7.3 million (£5.9m) for the privilege.

Spanning 11,000 square feet, the Mediterranean-style property has everything a rock star could hope for and more. In addition to the usual reception rooms, the mansion has a nightclub room, which is kitted out with a pole and DJ booth. 

The showy mansion also features plenty of bling extras, including a movie theatre with plush stadium seating, perfect for chilling out in when the partying gets a bit too much, as well as a sedate library and office area.

Outside, there's a lavish pool, firepit, barbecue, skate ramp and organic garden. Slash and Hudson filed for divorce in 2014 and put the mansion up for sale. After more than two years on the market, it was bought by rapper Big Sean for $8.7 million (£7m). 

Nestled by the Regent's Canal in west London's leafy Little Venice, Noel Gallagher's former townhouse is situated in one of the UK capital's most idyllic and high-end locations. The Oasis co-founder paid $11.1 million (£8.9m) for the six-bedroom, five-bathroom period property back in 2010, but had real trouble selling the house when he listed it for $16 million (£12.9m) in 2016. 

Decorated in a stark contemporary style, the house has three reception rooms, and a stylish colour scheme which is offset by some blingy details. Despite the trendy décor however, property became seemingly unsellable when he put it on the market again in 2019 at a knocked down $12.4 million (£10m), before eventually selling it at the reduced price of $11.1 million (£8.9m) in 2020 after four years on the market.

Gallagher moved to a $9.9 million (£8m) home in the South Downs with his wife Sara MacDonald in 2019, but the couple announced they were splitting up after 22 years together in January 2023, according to reports, so he may well wish he still had the London home. The kitchen in particular with its top-of-the-range kitchen doesn't disappoint. Slick in moody monochrome, shades of grey and accents of metal and mother of pearl, the space is glam without being over the top.

The dining area is equally on the money with its Missoni-upholstered seating and Cool Britannia artwork. The musician is said to have moved out of the family home near Petersfield where he lived with his wife Sara and their two sons, and to be living alone in North enjoying the single life. So, who knows, he may be looking for a new home very similar to this one! 

An achingly hip property if there ever was one, Gwen Stefani's 11,845-square-foot mansion in Beverly Hills is pretty much bang on what you'd expect from the trend-setting fashion icon, who had her very own successful clothing line, L.A.M.B. which now focuses solely on eyewear.

Stefani snapped up the seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom pad together with her rocker ex-husband Gavin Rossdale in 2006 for $13.3 million (£10.7m) and off-loaded it in 2019 for just under $21.7 million (£17.5m), according to the listing.

The décor strongly reflects Stefani's inimitable personal style – think mostly monochrome with Day-Glo colour accents and chic retro touches. The interiors are filled with nostalgia and give a nod to the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, and have a fun pop art feel.

The master bedroom is just as on-point as the rest of the property, with a spectacular chandelier and fireplace. Other highlights include a spacious home theatre and gym, not to mention the infinity pool, spa area, playground and tennis court. But it's a far cry from the 1,300-acre ranch in Oklahoma where she now lives according to People, with husband Blake Shelton. 

The stunning Lake Tahoe retreat that English rocker David Coverdale called his home for 30 years landed on the market in 2019, with a $9.9 million (£7.9m) asking price. After failing to sell he lowered the price and reportedly sold the property in 2021 for $6.8 million (£5.5m). The Whitesnake and former Deep Purple frontman's property is the quintessential rock star lair.

Located in the highly desirable Lake Tahoe enclave of Incline Village, the unusual celebrity home has four bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms spread over 9,035 square feet. Of course, it rocks some fabulous unique features, including Coverdale's bespoke zebra skin-heavy rocker's lounge.

Adding to its rock star cred, the home also features a “rejuvenation sanctuary” complete with a columned indoor pool, spa and sauna, as well as a bar, enormous walk-in wardrobes, state-of-the-art stereo sound systems throughout and a zen grotto in the garden. How's that for billionaire bling?

Not long after they walked down the aisle in 2014, and before any marital issues, Adam Levine and his Victoria's Secret Angel wife Behati Prinsloo dropped $4.5 million (£3.6m) on a mere one-bedroom loft apartment in this handsome cast-iron building in Manhattan's SoHo neighbourhood.

Exposed brickwork and cast iron columns give the open-plan space a cool industrial feel, and the 13-foot-high ceilings make the loft seem even bigger than it is. The main living area has a kitchen with granite worktops, while the bedroom houses a jumbo walk-in wardrobe.

No expense has been spared in the marble-clad bathroom, which features a Jacuzzi bath. In any case, the loft proved to be too small for the Levines. Now the proud parents of three children, the couple sold the property in 2016 when their first child was on the way. They made a tidy $1 million (£810k) more than what they paid for it just two years before, selling for $5.5 million (£4.4m). 

Clearly not one for tacky rock star excess, Annie Lennox displayed her impeccable good taste by purchasing this minimal mid-century modern masterpiece in 2018 in the Hollywood Hills for $4.3 million (£3.5m) to be near her model daughter Tali, who was pursuing a career in acting there. 

The infinity pool, which this bedroom and other rooms open out to, has got to be the property's pièce de résistance though. On top of this, the house has a cutting-edge kitchen, swish bar, statement fireplace and several walk-in wardrobes. In 2019 she reportedly bought the house next door.

Back in New York City, Keith Richards' former penthouse in Greenwich Village gives Adam Levine's Soho loft a good run for its money in the glam stakes. The Rolling Stone and his wife Patti Hansen acquired the property, which is housed in an Art Deco skyscraper, for $10.5 million (£8.4m) in 2014.

The couple listed the penthouse in 2016 for $12.2 million (£9.8m), but had to slash the asking price to entice buyers. After languishing on the market for a year, the property sold in 2018 for a relatively disappointing $9 million (£7.2m).

The décor is mid-century modern meets ultra-contemporary. Rock star-worthy touches abound, from the bass guitar to the quirky artwork. Note the “You're never too young” poster, a mantra the eternally young at heart Richards must repeat to himself daily.

Much like David Bowie's back catalogue, his New York apartment is a piece of rock 'n' roll history. Located on Lafayette Street, between the sought-after neighbourhoods of SoHo and Nolita, the luxurious penthouse condo belonged to the iconic British singer between 1999 and 2016, when he tragically lost his fight with liver cancer.

The 'Modern Love' singer paid $3.8 million (£3m) for the apartment and we can certainly see why. Dating back to 1885, it can be found inside the former Hawley & Hoops candy factory, which was converted into 30 luxury condos in 1999. The 5,090-square-foot residence offers four bedrooms and four bathrooms, as well as some seriously cool living areas, where Bowie no doubt penned plenty of songs. There's an open-plan great room, a gorgeous library and an open kitchen.

Light-filled and decorated with sheets of glass, the spectacular modern home benefits from north, east, west and south exposure, allowing for obstructed views across the city from every single room. The master suite is a breathtaking oasis, measuring 1,000 square feet and featuring a fireplace, dressing room, luxury bathroom and terrace.

There's plenty of outside space too, made up of an expansive rooftop deck, two terraces and a pretty garden, all of which allow for unobstructed panorama. The stunning apartment landed on the market in 2021 and sold in less than 30 days for an impressive $16.8 million (£13.8m) – but that's really no surprise at all!

Like fellow rocker Annie Lennox, Adam Lambert, who is the lead vocalist of Queen + Adam Lambert has opted to invest in property in LA's exclusive Hollywood Hills. The American Idol runner-up parted with $6.5 million (£5.2m) in 2018 to snag this five-bedroom, six-bathroom trophy home.

The ultra-contemporary abode extends over 5,000 square feet and has a roomy open-plan main living area decorated in a sleek neutral palette.

The unadorned but undoubtedly luxurious décor carries over into the bedrooms and other spaces of the home, which include a bijou movie theatre, climate-controlled wine room and exceedingly well-equipped gym. 

The property's standout feature is the sensational exterior space, which contains an L-shaped infinity pool, dining area and relaxation terraces. It merges seamlessly with the interior for the ultimate indoor-outdoor living experience. Oh to be a bona fide rock star...

Flea is famed for his zany antics on and off stage, but when it comes to property deals, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers' bassist is stone-cold shrewd and level-headed. Together with his model wife Frankie Rayder, the rocker bought this two-house compound in La Crescenta, California, in 2018.

Bought by the rock star for the bargain price of $4.3 million (£3.4m), the futuristic property was listed at $7.9 million (£6.3m) in 2015. The original property was built by prominent mid-century modern architect Richard Neutra, and its retro, fashionably minimal décor reflects this.

Alongside a Bear Valley stone fireplace, the house is packed with desirable Neutra-designed built-ins, including a sofa system with a record player and concealed speakers, a sliding breakfast nook and a vanity. A second building was added in 2021 and designed by another esteemed architect, Michael Maltza featuring seven sides and emulating a spaceship from above. It too is decorated in the sort of mid-century modern style rock stars seem to adore. 

The newer property has a tranquil courtyard at its core and impressive floor-to-ceiling windows throughout. With all this, plus an outdoor entertainment pavilion (pictured), it's surprising the star decided to part with his futuristic pad in February 2022. Currently still on the market at a reduced $7.9 million (£6.3m) following a price drop from $8.8 million (£7m), according to the listing, the savvy rocker is still set to make a healthy profit.

Flea's bandmate, Red Hot Chilli Peppers' frontman, Anthony Kiedis purchased this Hawaiian North Shore island sanctuary in 2005 for $2.6 million (£2m). Previously owned by actor Sylvester Stallone, the Kauai residence includes 3,000 square feet of living space and sold in August 2021 for just shy of $8.3 million (£6.7m). 

Near Hanalei Bay, the beachfront getaway is nestled within tropical jungle foliage and accessed via a long, private gated driveway. High ceilings and panelled white walls create a fresh, open-plan living space with ocean views and access to an elevated deck beyond. 

Wide-plank walnut floorboards, reclaimed teak cabinetry and black basalt countertops can be found in the kitchen and bathrooms' bespoke built-ins and steam shower.

The rock legend’s abode perches atop two dozen lava stone columns to ensure the star is protected from potential storm tides, creating a dramatic ocean-lapped lanai. It's an ideal spot for raising a Mai Tai as the sun sets.
