This charming 384-square-foot cabin built from the finest Vermont lumber wood is a durable option that can withstand even the harshest weather conditions. It features an open customisable floor plan so you can get creative with the layout of your new home, while high ceilings and an additional loft space keep the property from feeling cramped. The downloadable plans, available at a cost of £37 ($49), give detailed instructions on how to build the house, which contains a lounge, kitchen, bathroom, dining area and a corner office. A MitchCraft tiny home is the ideal option if you want plenty of control over your home’s design – the company works according to their clients' specifications, so you can add in personal touches to fit your lifestyle. Built on trailers, the moveable properties are fully insulated for a cosy living space no matter the season. Pricing is based on the size of the trailer and how complete you’d like your home to be – a basic 128-square-foot shell costs £14,200 ($19k).

Wish you could bring your home on holiday? The 154-square-foot Roving tiny home, complete with trailer, could be just the ticket. The shell, trailer and plans for the home cost less than £15,000 (£20k), while the structure includes a cedar-clad exterior, metal roof, windows and doors. There’s a kitchen, living and dining area, a bathroom and a loft bedroom, all set under an airy walnut-stained vaulted ceiling.

If you’re looking for a unique tiny home that's a little bit out of the ordinary, Easy Domes is a good option. Offering simple kits for geodesic dome-shaped houses, their packages include walls, doors and windows, allowing you to customise interior and exterior fixtures for a personalised finish. Offering 270 square feet of living space, the small dome model also includes a kitchen and snug sleeping loft.

Built on a custom steel trailer for easy transportation, the 154-square-foot cottage-style Shonsie features a striking scarlet metal roof, a sweet front porch and stylish French doors.
