Michael's passion is to show families that it's possible to live an ordinary life and use everyday appliances while functioning off-grid. He installed a sewage recycling system for around £5,700 (AUD$11,000), as well as a rainwater system for a similar amount, which collects a staggering 84,000 litres of water a year.
