A multi award-winning actor and action hero, Kevin Costner is also no stranger to the rancher lifestyle, having purchased the Aspen property back in 2000 and developed it into its current state from the ground up. In an interesting case of life imitating art, Costner currently stars as John Dutton in the critically acclaimed Paramount series Yellowstone, now in its fifth season, though rumours are circulating that the star, 68, may be looking to retire from the role following an alleged feud with Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan.

However, Costner’s previous commitment to the role has evidently taken a toll on his personal life. As reported by The Daily Mail, Costner’s wife, model Christine Baumgartner, has filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences". Baumgartner supposedly issued Costner with an ultimatum to quit Yellowstone to prioritise their family, which consists of three children aged 12 to 15. While the couple have agreed on joint custody, with a pre-nuptial agreement in place, it remains to be seen what Christine will receive as part of the divorce, and how assets like their property portfolio will be divided. In May 2020, the billionaire businessman and former New York City mayor, Michael Bloomberg, purchased this reclusive ranch in rural Colorado, USA. Following his failed presidential campaign in the same year, which reportedly cost him more than $1 billion (£812m) suggests Business Insider, we're sure Bloomberg spent time here, away from the media spotlight.

The sprawling 4,600-acre ranch can be found just under an hour from Aspen and set Bloomberg back an estimated $44.8 million (£35.9m) –and for good reason. Known as Westlands, the estate comes with a 19,000-square-foot main house, a four-hole golf course, a swimming pool, tennis court, guest cabins and staff quarters, as well as a helipad and hangar, so that Bloomberg can make a speedy escape.

The fly-in home dates back to 1991 and boasts an expansive interior with towering ceilings and plenty of characterful design touches, such as exposed timber beams, stone fireplaces and elaborate antler chandeliers. In September 2019, before their much-publicised divorce after almost seven years of marriage, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West added Monster Lake Ranch to their impressive and sprawling property empire.

Spanning over 1,500 acres, the private home boasts a backdrop of dramatic mountain scenery, and was listed as six separate parcels of land when it was on the market with J.P King Auction Company. Monster Lake Ranch includes a vast 3,888 acres and two freshwater trophy lakes, ideal for avid anglers. 

Not much is known about the purchase, but before their split the couple reportedly planned to build a brand new 52,000-square-foot home and two underground garages on the land. Flanked by epic mountains and lakeside vistas, it's easy to see why Kim and Kanye were drawn to the spectacular parcel at one time. Yet, in October 2021 however, Kanye put the Wyoming property up for sale for $11 million (£8.8m) amid the former couple's divorce proceedings. Ye removed the ranch from the market again in August 2022 just a week after Kim and Pete Davidson's break up, according to the New York Post. 

Yet, reportedly, it has come into disrepair in recent times, amid the star's damaged reputation. West has lost valuable deals with high-profile brands – such as Adidas, GAP and Balenciaga – making a huge dent in his notoriety and assets claiming his net worth plummeted from $2 billion (£1.6bn) to less than $400 million (£320m). Now newly married to Bianca Censori, let's hope things are once again on the up for the sprawling ranch...

Our next celebrity hideaway comes from late American singer-songwriter Kenny Rogers, whose former estate extends over a whopping 973 acres in Athens, Georgia. 'The Gambler' singer personally designed the vast property to create his own private oasis.

Rogers commissioned the palatial Beaver Dam Farms property back in the 1980s. The 'Islands in the Stream' co-singer was clearly drawn by the site's isolated location, which sits off the beaten track, surrounded by picturesque lakes and rolling countryside.

As far as ranches of the rich and famous go, this one is up there. The huge estate boasts not only a mansion, but also numerous guest houses, a clubhouse, two swimming pools and two clay tennis courts. In 2003, the Grammy Award-winning singer sold his beloved estate to real estate investor Wes Adams, who passed away in 2011. In 2016, the property went up for auction with a starting price of just $3.5 million (£2.8m), which included all of the estate's furnishings.

The award-winning actor’s mansion overlooks the North Newport River on the ultra-exclusive Hampton Island preserve, an area referred to as one of the crown jewels of Georgia's coastline. Affleck bought the picture-perfect estate for $7.1 million (£5.6m) in 2003, when he was first dating J.Lo.

As well as several cosy lounge spaces, there's a large farmhouse kitchen with a spacious dining area and a walk-in pantry.

Country music’s iconic couple, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw have worked together for over 20 years on award-winning songs, tours and even acting roles. But where do they unwind away from their busy working lives with their three kids?

Described by real estate agents Knight Frank as a “safe haven paradise," this exclusive enclave is a celebrity home unlike any other. Located on the private island of Exumas, in the heart of the Bahamas, the luxurious property has belonged to country music stars Faith Hill and Tim McGraw since 2003. Yet the A-list couple didn't move in until 2012, because their substantial self-build project took a little longer than expected, they told Architectural Digest in 2017.

The long-term couple decided to part ways with their remote island estate in early 2021, which lies an 80-minute flight from Miami, Florida. The lavish hideaway is known as L’île d’Anges (Goat Cay) and spans some 20 acres. As well as offering a stunning 6,512-square-foot interior, the property has almost 1.3 miles of water frontage, including two white sandy beaches fringed with palm trees.

Commanding the highest point on the island, the house benefits from spectacular panoramic views. Inside, you’ll find a chic and tranquil Mediterranean paradise with light-filled and open-plan living areas. An array of covered verandas connect the home’s eight individual ‘pods’, where four bedrooms and five bathrooms can be found.

There’s a great room, a screening room, a spacious kitchen, a lounge that opens onto the pool terrace, and a gorgeous master suite with its very own ocean-view terrace. The house also benefits from two beachfront yurts, where guests can sleep moments from the water. There’s even a secondary guest lodge, three staff houses and a private dock for speedy getaways. As far as island hideaways go, this one is up there with the best of them.

Comedian, producer and coffee lover, Jerry Seinfeld isn’t content with just one remote home. The sitcom star and his wife, Jessica, had two sprawling properties in the popular ski resort area of Telluride, Colorado, before putting both on the market in 2021 for just under $15 million (£12m) and around $2.8 million (£2.2m) respectively. 

The larger 11-bedroom property sits on 27 acres, while the smaller four-bedroom house resides across 17 acres, both hosting spectacular views surrounded by aspen trees. After undergoing a huge renovation, the larger 12,500-square-foot home was listed for around $18.3 million (£14.9m) in 2011, but it was subsequently taken off the market. It's since sold for $14 million (£11.4m) in January 2022. 

Each property has a modern farmhouse style, with wood panelling, gorgeous beams and reclaimed plank flooring. The main house was offered furnished, so the lucky buyer can relax and unwind in much the same fashion as the Seinfeld star, enjoying the same mountain views from the same leather recliner.

Alongside a grand total of 15 bedrooms across both properties, there are also plenty of amenities to keep you entertained, such as a lower-level rec room with a ping-pong table, as well as a wine room elsewhere in the home. 

Outside the main house, you’ll find a 5,500-square-foot deck with views of manicured trails for miles, ready for cross-country skiing in winter or perhaps a spot of mountain biking or hiking in the warmer months. The trails cross over Turkey Creek and lead into the abutting National Forest. How's that for idyllic?
