Wanted: freelance writers for lovePROPERTY.com

lovePROPERTY.com is looking for freelance writers to produce engaging, insightful photo-led gallery-style content, which will also be syndicated to our third-party partners.

We are looking for journalists who are brimming with great ideas and who are excited to tell compelling stories using great photography. We have a global focus, not just the UK, so an understanding of property and lifestyle trends in the US, Canada, Australia/New Zealand, Spain, Europe and beyond would be beneficial.

Writers will need to be comfortable sourcing imagery from a variety of places, beyond our image library subscriptions, resizing them and uploading them to our CMS with 100-word captions. Training will be given on our CMS.

Subjects we are particularly looking to cover include:

  • Property comparisons around the world;
  • Unusual homes;
  • Home transformation case studies;
  • Notable individual house tours;
  • Funny or entertaining takes on homes and property;
  • Historic, stately and royal homes;
  • US homes with history;
  • Cleaning, decluttering and organising lifestyle features.

Some examples of recent stories we have produced:

We are not looking to cover interior design, UK-specific property stories or homes for sale at this time.

About us

Love Incorporated is a fast-growing digital publishing company. Our portfolio of brands includes the popular and award-winning loveMONEY.com, loveFOOD.com, loveEXPLORING.com and lovePROPERTY.com.
Love Incorporated is an equal opportunities employer. We value and respect all differences (seen and unseen) in all people. We aspire to deliver inclusive working experiences and an environment that reflects the audience we serve. We actively encourage applications from diverse backgrounds.

How to apply
Please email your CV and examples of your work to natalie@loveinc.com plus an idea for a gallery, based on the subjects outlined above, that would appeal to a global audience (not just the UK) and tell us why you’ve pitched it.

Suitable applicants will be invited to complete a paid test commission set by the editor. We are open to working with writers on either a day rate (from around £160 a day) with a set day agreed per week/month or on a per commission rate (variable but usually £200 - £300) to allow for flexible working.

Applicants that do not submit all the above elements will not be considered.
