Semi-detached house for sale in the West Midlands for only £5,000
Packed with potential, this ivy-clad property in the Black Country is an absolute bargain
Sometimes a house hits the market that's just too good a deal to pass up. Found in the town of Rowley Regis in the West Midlands, this semi-detached property is one such find.
Going under the hammer on the 11th December at Bond Wolfe Auctions, the guide price for the redbrick dwelling is a steal at just £5,000 – pretty unbelievable!

So what do you get for such a meagre price tag? Offering two bedrooms, the house has both a front and back garden and while the state of the ivy suggests it’s in need of a little love, it's packed with potential.
Inside, there are original floorboards, which look to be in a reasonable condition, plus an attractive cast-iron fireplace with a wooden surround in one of the bedrooms.
With dated floral tiles and plenty of dark wood, the three-piece bathroom suite is a little worse for wear but still looks to be in working order.
The kitchen is pretty minimalist to say the least and is certainly in need of a big overhaul, but for such a low overall cost, refitting this space seems like a small price to pay.
As you would expect, Bond Wolfe Auctions, which is marketing the property, are anticipating a lot of interest on the day.
Jonathan Hackett, consultant director at Bond Wolfe Auctions, told regional newspaper the Express & Star: “Distinctive properties like this are always a draw and the ultra-low guide price is certain to attract a lot of bidders, both buy-to-let investors and young people looking for a project to become their first home.
“As a result, we are running half a dozen group visits to this property to enable prospective bidders to have a look around and see for themselves just what a deal it offers."
